<p>Tens of thousands of people were seen escaping northern Gaza on Friday after the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) kept open an evacuation corridor to assist Palestinian civilians in moving to southern Gaza.</p>
<p>The footage comes after Hamas, an Islamic terrorist organization that is backed by Iran, launched an unprecedented terrorist attack on October 7, murdering 1,400 Israelis, wounding 5,300+, and kidnapping more than 240.</p>
<p>&#8220;Tens of thousands of Gazans are moving to the southern part of the Gaza Strip for their safety,&#8221; an Israeli government account wrote on X. &#8220;For the 6th consecutive day, the @IDF has opened an evacuation corridor. The evacuation corridor is open today 9:00-16:00.&#8221;</p>

<p>Israel first <a href="https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-10-16/israel-announces-another-safe-passage-for-gazans-to-move-south">announced</a> on October 14, just one week after the attacks, a &#8220;safe corridor&#8221; that civilians could use to evacuate northern Gaza, saying that they would refrain from targeting the area.</p>
<p>Israel has <a href="https://idfanc.activetrail.biz/ANC05112023684865" target="_blank" rel="noopener">dropped</a> more than 1.5 million <a href="https://videoidf.azureedge.net/a9ee6841-2f53-46b7-852f-f4f9106a50a5" target="_blank" rel="noopener">pamphlets</a>, made nearly 20,000 <a href="https://videoidf.azureedge.net/d1dc0d23-7d25-474f-89c1-be36f20b980f" target="_blank" rel="noopener">phone calls</a>, sent nearly 4.5 million text messages, and made nearly 6 million pre-recorded calls urging residents to northern Gaza to evacuate.</p>
<p>Gazans have <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/hamas-confiscating-car-keys-from-civilians-to-prevent-them-from-leaving-gaza-intel-reports" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told</a> Israeli intelligence operatives that Hamas has confiscated car keys and that Hamas is <a href="https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/listen-gazan-man-says-hamas-is-shooting-at-civilians-who-try-to-evacuate/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">shooting</a> at those who are trying to evacuate.</p>
<p>The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) <a href="https://www.timesofisrael.com/liveblog_entry/idf-says-hamas-is-preventing-civilians-from-evacuating-northern-gaza/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">released</a> satellite imagery three weeks ago that showed Hamas had set up roadblocks to stop cars from leaving northern Gaza.</p>
<p>Hamas commits war crimes by using civilians as human shields in the hopes of either deterring Israel from striking targets or, in the case that Israel does strike the target and civilians are killed, Hamas hopes to generate outrage in the media by claiming that Israel intentionally targets civilians — which is not true.</p>

<p>The IDF has released footage this week showing numerous instances where it has canceled airstrikes because of the presence of children and other civilians. Hamas meanwhile has <a href="https://twitter.com/IDF/status/1722727258442420509/photo/1">fired</a> 9,500 rockets and mortar shells into Israel targeting civilians over the last month.</p>
