WATCH: Mitch McConnell Confronted By Protesters At Restaurant

   DailyWire.com

Yet another Republican has been harassed while dining out, this time Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

McConnell and his wife, Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, were finishing up their meal at Havana Rumba in Louisville, KY, when four men began yelling at them, according to video obtained by TMZ. In the short clip, the leader of the protesters asks McConnell: “Why don’t you get out of here? Why don’t you leave the entire country?”

Someone else can be heard yelling, “Ditch Mitch!”

The woman who shot the video and sent it to TMZ told the outlet that this same protester “slammed his fists down on McConnell’s table, grabbed his doggie bag and threw the food out the door of the restaurant.” She also said the protester appeared to be most concerned with Social Security and health care and said McConnell was “killing people with his views,” before she started filming.

McConnell and his wife can be seen calmly sitting while the men scream at them. Some other restaurant patrons appear to try and calm the men down.

After the protesters left, according to TMZ, McConnell shook the hands of those who supported him and thanked them.

About a month ago, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was harassed at a restaurant while he was out with his wife. The two were forced to leave as protesters screamed at him over his support for Judge Brett Kavanaugh, who was not yet a Supreme Court justice and had been accused of sexual assaulting a woman 36 years earlier.

White House senior adviser Stephen Miller, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, and DHS Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen have also been accosted while dining out.

It appears Rep. Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) call for Democrats to intimidate their political reporters continues to have totally foreseen consequences. In June, Waters told supporters to keep harassing Trump cabinet members (which has now extended to anyone who supports any of Trump’s decisions or policies) out of public space.

“Let’s make sure we show up wherever we have to show up and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere,” Waters said.
