Actor Jon Voight — one of the few Hollywood stars willing to openly express support for Donald Trump — posted a video statement on social media Thursday condemning the Democrats’ “war against truths” and declaring that he stands with our president “in a time of such evil words trying for impeachment.”
The latest firestorm engulfing the Trump administration over Trump’s July 25 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky — in which Trump asked his Ukrainian counterpart to “look into” the alleged corruption scandal involving former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden — has resulted in the Democrats moving forward with an impeachment inquiry. The push to impeach Trump, says Voight, is a declaration of “war.”
“War — this is war against truths,” declares Voight in a 2-minute video statement captioned simply “The is war,” which has been viewed over half a million times, retweeted over 25,000 times, and liked by over 55,000 (post below).
“This is a war against the highest noble man who has defended our country and made us safe and great again,” Voight states. “Let me stand with our president. Let us all stand with our President Trump in a time of such evil words trying for impeachment.”
“This is a crime that the Left are trying to force,” he continues. “This is a disgrace by such ignorant followers that have no truth of what truly has been brought back to our country. We have gained greatness; we have gained jobs; we have gained more than any president has promised.”
“This radical Left are destructive,” the actor continues. “Their codes of what is supposed to be are corrupt with lies, deceits and anger. And we ask, why? We ask how could a human being have such anger toward the greatness of our country’s glory?”
“I’ll tell you why,” Voight says. “Because for so long their anger has been growing and with such deep pain with no open heart for loving and seeing the truth. The truth of what truly matters is the productivity of what was promised and what we the American people of the United State were promised — and have received.”
“And what does the radical Left do for such greatness?” he states. “They want to destroy. They want civilization to be run like a corrupt ring.”
“I say stand now with Trump,” Voight urges. “Let truth prevail. And may God show all the truth, that we are truly a nation stronger because of our president. The Left are afraid, for their power is lessening with every deal that is accomplished by Donald Trump.”
“In the name of God, and his power for this nation, let us stay strong and without such evil among us,” he concludes. “God Bless.”

This isn’t the first video Voight has posted expressing unequivocal support for Trump. In August, Voight again came to Trump’s defense — particularly praising his support for Israel — and slammed the Left’s “hate” and “venom.”
“This is not peace. This is not love,” said Voight in another video statement posted online. “This is hate among the radical Left. No amount of ‘book-smart’ will show the given policy of what truth stands for. Truth is a powerful emotion. Love is what we should be voting for, and I must say that we, the Republican party, have voted for renewal, for a place of safety, a community where all can have peace. But this is war among the Left; they have hate; it’s like a venom. No words of God, no words of love, but a radical emotion of hate.
“I’ve said this many times and I am saying it again from the deep truths of my heart and soul: President Trump is a man of truths, love and justice for the American people and also for the people of a sacred place: Israel,” he said. Like the impeachment video, Voight ended the statement by calling for prayer and unity behind the president.
Trump ended up responding to the statement, tweeting, “Thank you Jon, working hard!”
