<p>As President Donald Trump and Elon Musk feuded on Thursday, FBI Director Kash Patel was recording an episode with podcast giant Joe Rogan, and the two reacted to Musk&#8217;s <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/elon-musk-goes-after-trump-over-epstein-files-time-to-drop-the-really-big-bomb">Epstein Files accusation</a> against Trump while the cameras were rolling.</p>
<p>As the fight between Trump and Musk escalated, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1930703865801810022">wrote</a> on X, “Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!” He added in a follow-up: “Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out.”</p>
<p>Rogan read Musk&#8217;s post as he was recording an episode with Patel that dropped on Friday.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m not participating in any of that conversation,&#8221; Patel said after Rogan read the post.</p>
<p>&#8220;Someone should take his phone away,&#8221; Rogan said of Musk.</p>
<p>&#8220;Jesus Christ, that&#8217;s a crazy thing to say,&#8221; Rogan added. &#8220;How does he know? Does he know that Donald Trump is in the Epstein Files? Does he have access to the Epstein Files?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t know how he would,&#8221; Patel replied. &#8220;But I&#8217;m just staying out of the Trump-Elon thing. That&#8217;s way outside my lane.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;What the f*** are they doing?&#8221; Rogan asked. &#8220;I understand he owns Twitter [X]. I think it&#8217;s bad for your mental health. I think posting things public all day and arguing with people all day is bad for you.&#8221;</p>

<p>Musk&#8217;s Epstein Files post was the culmination of a battle between Trump and Musk that began when the president said he was &#8220;very disappointed&#8221; with Musk, rebuking his former senior adviser for criticizing the &#8220;Big, Beautiful Bill.&#8221; Trump has not responded specifically to the Epstein allegation, but he did threaten to end government subsidies and contracts for Musk&#8217;s companies. Musk, meanwhile, <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/musk-fires-back-at-trump-with-threat-to-pull-nasas-only-ride-to-space">threatened</a> to decommission the SpaceX Dragon capsule, which would prevent astronauts from traveling to the International Space Station. Musk later <a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1930796810928599163">backed down</a> from his threat.</p>

<p>Musk later <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/musk-signals-hes-open-to-speaking-with-trump-but-president-not-particularly-interested?author=Zach+Jewell&amp;category=News&amp;elementPosition=3&amp;row=0&amp;rowType=Vertical+List&amp;title=Musk+Signals+He%E2%80%99s+Open+To+Speaking+With+Trump%2C+But+President+%E2%80%98Not+Particularly%E2%80%99+Interested">signaled</a> that he wanted to talk to Trump to smooth things over, but the president said he was &#8220;not particularly&#8221; interested in a discussion.</p>
<p>“I won’t be speaking to [Musk] for a while I guess, but I wish him well,” Trump told <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2025/06/06/politics/donald-trump-elon-musk-rift">CNN</a> Friday morning.</p>
<p>“I’m not even thinking about Elon,” he added. “He’s got a problem. The poor guy’s got a problem.”</p>
