On Monday, two-time failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton joined the chorus of out-of-touch leftists who are determined to prescribe some of the most absurd antidotes for fighting radical Islamic terrorism. Hillary’s suggestion? We must understand others’ cultures, including even their food.
This is brilliant stuff from Hillary. Remember that time that bloodthirsty jihadist refrained from murdering a Western infidel because she had a deep knowledge of Jellab?
Weird, me neither.
“This is a time for us to reach out to the world, to understand more about what is happening. Not just in our own country but indeed across the globe,” Hillary told her audience at a Baltimore fundraiser. “And it is a time to remember how important our alliances are. Getting to know one another. Learning about the experiences, the lives, the cultures, the religions, the food.
“Putting yourself in another’s shoes, walking in them. It’s even more important that we work together with our allies and our friends and our partners,” she continued.
“Yes, to keep us safe, but also to expand our understanding of what we can achieve together,” the former secretary of state added.
“This is not a time to lash out, to incite fear or to use tragedy and terror for political gain,” she said, taking a not-so-veiled jab at President Donald Trump.
Hillary also praised London’s first Muslim mayor, Sadiq Khan, for his response to terrorism: “It’s a time for steady, determined leadership, like we are seeing from local authorities in London, including the mayor of London,” she said.
Khan has a poor track record fighting radical extremism in both word and deed. The mayor once referred to moderate Muslim groups as “Uncle Toms” during an Iranian interview; he infamously said terrorism is “part and parcel” to life in a big city; and most recently had no coherent answer as to why former jihadists were welcomed back to London while their direct whereabouts are unknown.
He does, however, loathe President Donald Trump, which is wholly appealing to Hillary.
Leftist have also prescribed “love” and “political correctness” to defeat ISIS.
