On Monday, the Louder with Crowder team uploaded the latest episode of “Change My Mind.” The topic of this installment was “There are Only Two Genders (2nd Edition).”
For the first half of the video, which clocks in at approximately 51 minutes, Crowder speaks with a transgender woman named Danielle Skidmore, who is running for the Austin city council. Although no minds were changed, Crowder and Skidmore’s exchange was quite civil.
It was the second exchange during which things became less civil. After Skidmore left, a woman named Alicia Weigel sat down with Crowder. Weigel, who was born intersex, and who works for Skidmore, challenged Crowder on his belief that there are only two genders.
Crowder’s episodes about gender are, without question, the most complex ones. The individuals representing his opposition frequently support their views with anecdotal or emotional evidence as opposed to empirical evidence. It was also interesting to see Crowder become slightly agitated while he spoke with Weigel.
As with Skidmore, no minds were changed, but fascinating conversations were had.
If you’re interested in taking a deeper dive into the way in which the transgender movement perceives reality, this is a must watch:
