Comedian Bill Maher grilled former “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace on Friday, asking him whether or not he had cast a vote for former President Donald Trump.

Wallace joined Maher for a panel discussion on “Real Time With Bill Maher: Overtime” — along with former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) and journalist Katty Kay — and he quickly deflected questions about his voting record.

“So did you vote for Trump?” Maher asked Wallace.

“I — you know, there’s a secret ballot,” Wallace brushed the question aside.

“Oh, I know,” Maher conceded, noting that some people were less squeamish about divulging that information. “Some people don’t care about that question.”

“It was worth the question. It was worth a try,” Kay shrugged.

“Was it?” Wallace pressed.

“Yeah. I mean, why not?” Maher asked.

“I have a better question,” Wallace claimed, turning to Christie and asking, “Did you vote for Trump?”

“I did,” Christie’s reply was blunt.

Wallace pressed again, asking, “Both times?”

“Yep,” Christie again answered matter-of-factly.

“Wow,” came from both Wallace and Maher then.

“And you would again?” Maher tried for one more.

“No,” Kay interjected, but Christie just laughed at the question.

“Good try,” he chuckled. “You’ve got more honesty out of me that you’ve got than anybody else. So that’s …”

“I’ll take my winnings and go home,” Maher conceded.

Maher also pressed the former New Jersey Governor on the possibility of another run for the presidency in 2024 — which Christie said he was certainly considering.

“It’s rumored you’re considering another presidential run in 2024, is there any truth to that?” Maher asked.

“Sure,” Christie said.

Maher seemed taken aback by the direct answer, and replied, “Oh, I love that. I’m telling you — this show’s rubbing off on him, he’s getting very bold, yes, loose.”

“Yeah, that was me, I never had the reputation of being bold. Wallflower type,” Christie’s sarcastic comeback drew laughter from the audience.

“So you are considering it?” Maher asked again, and Christie repeated, “Sure, yeah.”

“Yeah, you should, I mean, what not?” Maher added, saying that he thought there was room in the race for “a normal Republican — or an as-good-as-it-gets Republican,” especially if former President Trump decided to enter the race.
