WALSH: The Allegation Against Brett Kavanaugh Is A Blatant, Despicable Smear

   DailyWire.com

Faced with losing their ideological domination of the Supreme Court, Democrats have become desperate. Even honest people may turn dishonest when they’re desperate. But what about desperate people, like congressional Democrats, who were already pathological liars even before desperation set in? Well, then all bets are off. And that brings us to the “sexual misconduct” allegation against Brett Kavanaugh.

On the precipice of Kavanaugh’s confirmation for the Supreme Court, Democrats have conjured up a story of supposed sexual misdeeds (or attempted misdeeds, more like) from the judge’s high school days. Here’s The New Yorker’s report, which comes to us from an unnamed woman who refuses to go on the record with her claims:

The woman, who has asked not to be identified, first approached Democratic lawmakers in July, shortly after Trump nominated Kavanaugh. The allegation dates back to the early nineteen-eighties, when Kavanaugh was a high-school student at Georgetown Preparatory School, in Bethesda, Maryland, and the woman attended a nearby high school. In the letter, the woman alleged that, during an encounter at a party, Kavanaugh held her down, and that he attempted to force himself on her. She claimed in the letter that Kavanaugh and a classmate of his, both of whom had been drinking, turned up music that was playing in the room to conceal the sound of her protests, and that Kavanaugh covered her mouth with his hand. She was able to free herself. Although the alleged incident took place decades ago and the three individuals involved were minors, the woman said that the memory had been a source of ongoing distress for her, and that she had sought psychological treatment as a result.

So, over thirty years ago, we’re told, Brett Kavanaugh tried to sexually assault someone at a party. That person waited three and a half decades and then finally decided to report the crime to “democratic lawmakers.” Those lawmakers happily passed on the anonymous allegations to the media, which happily published them.

What should we make of this? We should make nothing of it. The only thing it tells us is that the media and Democrats are unethical smear merchants, which we already knew. As for Brett Kavanaugh, there is absolutely no reason to believe accusations this old, with no evidence, presented to us under these circumstances, and which contradicts the testimony of 65 women who knew Kavanaugh in high school and have come forward publicly to vouch for his character.

These allegations should be dismissed out of hand and all of the ire should be directed squarely at the liars and propagandists who would stoop this low.
