The internet is once again abuzz about comedian Amy Schumer’s incredible ability to steal other comedians’ material, claim it as her own, and seemingly continue her career unimpeded.
In the comprehensive clip below posted to Reddit, Schumer, who’s cousin is Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer, is clearly seen spouting the exact same jokes previously told by other stand-ups who she says are people by whom she’s influenced, and even opened for in the past. There are sketches from her Comedy Central Show, Inside Amy Schumer, that seem to be almost word-for-word taken from other shows. (Warning: strong language):
At one point in the video, Schumer, as a guest on The Ellen Show, does Ellen’s own joke about eating popcorn straight to her face. When Schumer asks her “Do you eat popcorn like that?” the host tells her, “Yeah, I do. I eat it exactly like that.”
Schumer, a very vocal Hillary advocate, made headlines last October when 200 people walked out of her show in Tampa, Florida, when she launched into a rant about Donald Trump, calling him an “orange, sexual-assaulting, fake-college-starting monster.”
In her latest stand-up special on Netflix called The Leather Special, Schumer displays an original piece of her comedy in the form of a completely unfunny rant on gun-control. (Warning: strong language):
Reviewers called the special “awful,” “unfunny,” and “unwatchable,” and IMDB currently has it rated at 3.1 out of 10.
