The Clock Boy has returned.
Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old kid who was arrested for bringing a fake bomb to school in September, returned home to Texas for the summer after spending the school year studying in Qatar. Ahmed remarked to a reporter how he was “surrounded by the cameras” when he arrived at the airport.
“It’s ok because I get to share a feeling and I get to help the black community as well as the Muslim community,” Ahmed said.
Ahmed said the amount of support he has received has been “tremendous.”
“I didn’t think people would care about me since I was just another Muslim student and I got arrested,” Ahmed said.
Ahmed was excited to spend time with his friends and family again and plans on touring the country. There is a “50/50 chance” he finishes high school in the U.S., but he definitely wants to go to college in the U.S.
“It’s beautiful to be here in USA,” Ahmed’s father, Mohamed Elhassan Mohamed, told reporters. “It is our home and it is our country and we love it. As you see, if there is something wrong, America will stand for it and that is what happened. Something was happening to my son. Everybody has a heart, has children, something is wrong, so they stood for it.”
To recap, Ahmed had been arrested for brining a fake bomb that resembled a clock to MacArthur High School in Irving, TX. He was warned by his engineering teacher not to carry around the “clock” and yet he ignored that advice. Ahmed was reportedly passive aggressive toward the police as well. His father also appears to be a “a 9/11 truther and anti-American agitator.” Despite all that, leftists turned Ahmed into an overnight sensation as they decried his arrest as a symptom of Islamophobia, despite a lack of evidence. Unsurprisingly, Ahmed’s actions inspired al-Qaeda.
Ahmed had been studying through the Qatar Foundation, which has connections to the terror group Hamas, inside the country of Qatar, an authoritarian country that imposes Islamic fundamentalism on its people and is cozy with Hamas as well.
