The jihadist who drove a truck into a large crowd of people at a Christmas Market in Berlin on Monday, killing 12 and injuring dozens, created a video of himself pledging allegiance to the Islamic State and calling on his “Muslim brothers everywhere” to “kill the crusader pigs.”
The video was posted Friday by the ISIS news agency Amaq. In it, Amri pledges his fealty to ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and calls on faithful Muslims to retaliate against the “crusaders” for “bombing Muslims.”
“My message to crusaders bombing Muslims everyday… Their blood will not go in vain. We are a nation behind them and will take revenge for them,” he says. “I call on my Muslim brothers everywhere… Those in Europe, kill the crusader pigs, each person to their own ability.”
The ISIS video follows the call by the group’s supporters to turn the streets of the West into “rivers of blood,” particularly by attacking churches, hotels, and other crowded venues, as the Daily Wire reported Thursday:
According to a new report by Vocativ, the Islamic State is circulating a list of names and addresses of thousands of churches in Western countries, including the U.S., and urging its jihadist supporters to target them over the holidays.
The list of potential targets was disseminated via the pro-ISIS “Secrets of Jihadis” social media group on Telegram, a group Vocativ explains “provides manuals for the use and preparations of weapons and explosives for aspiring assailants.” The message calls on the “sons of Islam” to attack “churches, well-known hotels, crowded coffee shops, streets, markets, and public places.” It then provides a list of thousands of church addresses in four Western countries: Canada, France, the Netherlands, and the U.S.
