Hollywood actor Jussie Smollett not only allegedly faked a hate crime against himself in 2019, but he also practiced before the “attack” occurred with his “assailants” and it was caught on tape, according to prosecutors in the case.
As The Daily Wire reported earlier on Tuesday, Smollett has been charged “with felony disorderly conduct — because he allegedly paid [Abimbola and Olabinjo Osundairo] to stage a fake racist and homophobic hate crime — and filing a false report, [which] claimed that he was attacked on a cold night in Chicago by two of former President Donald Trump’s supporters who put a rope around his neck and informed him, ‘This is MAGA country!'”
The Daily Wire also noted that his attorney claimed that the two brothers were “sophisticated criminals” who entrapped the “Empire” star.
However, the brothers’ attorneys claim that Smollett was the one who tricked the Osundairos into going along with the plot.
According to the Chicago Tribune, special prosecutor Dan Webb alleged that Smollett told the siblings, “I want you to attack me, but when you hit me, I want you to kind of pull your punches a bit because I don’t want to get seriously hurt.”
“Smollett also instructed them to put a rope around his neck to ‘make it look more like a lynching, like a hate crime,'” Webb also told the court.
To make sure the trio got it right, the Chicago paper reports that “The three men went on a ‘dry run’ before the attack, part of which was captured on surveillance camera, Webb said. Smollett’s Mercedes can be seen circling the Streeterville intersection, showing the brothers the area where he wanted the attack to occur.”
In response to the supposed outlandish scene, Townhall.com’s Guy Benson simply said, “Amazing. Smollett brought his ‘attackers’ on a dry run the day before the fake hate crime, and it’s on video.”
Former CIA officer and conservative commentator Bryan Wright responded to Benson, reminding his followers that Vice President Kamala Harris once said that Smollett’s “attack” was a ‘modern day lynching.’

Indeed, she also bravely said that “We must confront this hate.”

The Washington Free Beacon pointed out that President Joe Biden, then a candidate, also believed Smollett’s story to be true and indicative of a racist America:
“What happened today to Jussie Smollett must never be tolerated in this country,” Biden said at the time. “We must stand up and demand that we no longer give this hate safe harbor; that homophobia and racism have no place on our streets or in our hearts. We are with you, Jussie.”
Of course, several commentators have wondered where these politicians are now that Smollett is on trial. They seem to have abandoned him at the stand. Furthermore, neither Harris nor Biden have explained how the attack could be racially motivated if two black men were the ones attacking Smollett.
The case is still being decided, but even the most elementary legal observers can notice the evidence is not in Smollett’s favor.
