Tova Friedman was just six years old when she walked out of Auschwitz, and after dedicating herself to teaching others about the horrors of the Holocaust, she issued a stark warning to those who seem unwilling to crack down on the anti-Semitism rearing its head on college campuses in the United States.

Friedman made an appearance Tuesday on Fox News, where she predicted inevitable “tragedy” if something was not done to stop the growing “cancer” of anti-Semitism.

Responding to videos of protesters — on Ivy League college campuses like Columbia and Yale — telling Jewish students to go back to Poland and actively cheering on the brutal actions of Hamas terrorists, Friedman called the imagery “shocking.”

“It is shocking! It is utterly shocking! You know, when I walked out of Auschwitz with my mother, walking through these gates, and I thought — I was six and a half, and I was a very adult six and a half, not like a child, you know? And I said I will never, never have anybody call me a dirty Jew or anything else again. I am free now,” she said.

It was another five years before Friedman would see the “promised land” of the United States — and now, she worries that “tragedy” will befall her new country if nothing is done to stop the hatred.

“I just want to say that if this isn’t contained and if they don’t think about it, what is going to be the end product? What is the end product of any hatred and prejudice? It is death to somebody. Could be death to themselves. Death to their opponents. Because we didn’t stop Hitler,” she said.

“That type of behavior and anger and hatred can only end up in tragedy. Tragedy for everybody. Not only tragedy for the Jews, God forbid, tragedy for themselves, which is — it’s going to be a terrible clash. We have to find a way to stop it. I think of it as a virus or like a cancer,” Friedman concluded. “If you don’t stop it early, it kills the body.”
