<p>Welp, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/lapdog-media-tracks-down-classified-leaker-democrat-media-complex-in-action" target="_blank" rel="noopener">lapdog media</a> has its latest talking points we&#8217;ll be seeing more of: &#8220;Kids need protection from their parents.&#8221;</p>
<p>On Wednesday, the <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-poor-the-mentally-ill-the-french-whats-with-the-morons-at-the-associated-press" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Associated Press</a> actually ran a headline, titled “Trans Minors Protected From Parents Under Washington Law.&#8221;</p>
<p>At first glance, one might suspect that was a typo of some sort. The AP might be a leftist rag these days, but even they wouldn&#8217;t be asinine enough to frame a story where parents are the bad guys, you might be thinking.</p>

<p>Well, it wasn&#8217;t an error because the lede — the opening sentence of a straight news article that&#8217;s supposed to convey the most important part of that story — doubled down on that twisted language.</p>
<p>&#8220;Minors seeking gender-affirming care in Washington will be protected from the intervention of estranged parents under a measure Gov. Jay Inslee signed into law Tuesday,&#8221; the AP reported.</p>
<p>Of course, that sentence is filled with imprecise language and double-speak.</p>
<p>&#8220;Gender-affirming care&#8221; encompasses child mutilation and confusion. &#8220;Estranged parents&#8221; could include parents who don&#8217;t want their kids to chop off their private parts after being indoctrinated by evil members of society, and carried out by perverted doctors betraying their medical oath.</p>

<p>What the law will do, per the Associated Press, is allow licensed facilities and foster homes to notify Washington State&#8217;s Department of Children, Youth, and Families if a minor comes to said shelters seeking help because their parent won&#8217;t let them undergo sex denialism and gender-rejection efforts.</p>
<p>Then, the state Department of Children, Youth, and Families is mandated to make a “‘good faith attempt&#8217; to notify parents after they are contacted by shelters or host homes and offer services designed to &#8216;resolve the conflict and accomplish a reunification of the family,’” the Associated Press reported. In the interim, children who run away from their homes are allowed to stay at host homes separate from their families.</p>
<p>Democratic Governor Jay Inslee said that the purpose of this bill is to adopt &#8220;a more compassionate, developmentally appropriate, and reasoned approach to support these youth as they access gender-affirming treatment and reproductive health care services.&#8221;</p>
<p>In other words, Inslee wants the state to supersede the parental right of deciding what&#8217;s best for their kids. It isn&#8217;t a stretch to see that the government will next take kids from their homes, under the guise of saying that so-called &#8220;transgender youths&#8221; are being abused by their parents who deny them &#8220;access&#8221; to life-changing procedures.</p>
<p>The Left think parents shouldn&#8217;t have authority over their children, and the AP is all-too-happy to promote that collectivist, anti-family propaganda.</p>
