Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing unloaded Wednesday night on the podcasting trade association that made a stink over Ben Shapiro’s appearance at a recent conference. Podcast Movement, which tweeted an apology for the “harm” caused by Shapiro’s presence at the Dallas event, is the latest woke bully to try to silence Shapiro, host of the nation’s most popular political podcast.
“There’s no one else in the world who would be subjected to this type of bigotry, and you get away with” said Boreing. “You could not treat a black man this way, you could not treat a lesbian woman this way, you could not treat anyone on the Left in this way … but you can treat a conservative this way with unadulterated bigotry on the page.”

Boreing, who famously started his own razor company when former Daily Wire advertiser Harry’s Razors attacked his company, made the comments at The Daily Wire’s latest “Backstage” event, where he, Shapiro, and the company’s other personalities discussed the apology from Podcast Movement.
Shapiro explained that the incident with Podcast Movement is yet another example of how the Left attempts to silence conservative voices, but he insisted that conservatives cannot back down.
“If you’re going to seek to destroy us, then we are not going to just sit here and be destroyed,” Shapiro remarked. “I do not acquiesce to the erasure of my own existence.”
Podcast Movement, which is the world’s largest annual conference for the podcast industry, bowed to the woke demands of one angry person last week.
Shapiro stopped at the event in Dallas last week where The Daily Wire had set up a booth. The Daily Wire co-founder was seen chatting with event-goers as many asked to take a picture with him, but one person in attendance was triggered by the mere presence of Shapiro and complained to Podcast Movement on Twitter.
The group wrote in its apology that Shapiro’s presence caused “harm” to some in attendance and promised to be “more careful” when considering sponsors in the future.
“Hi folks, we owe you an apology before sessions kick off for the day,” Podcast Movement tweeted Thursday morning. “Yesterday afternoon, Ben Shapiro briefly visited the PM22 expo area near The Daily Wire booth. Though he was not registered or expected, we take full responsibility for the harm done by his presence.”

Boreing explained that he attempted to talk with one of the owners of Podcast Movement and resolve the issue, but his pleas for the trade association to issue an apology to Shapiro and The Daily Wire were quickly ignored. The Daily Wire co-founder then pledged that his company will continue to fight for conservatives’ freedom to express themselves without the threat of being silenced.
“We will not allow Podcast Movement to continue to present itself as a neutral place. If you’re a conservative podcaster, they don’t want you there … they don’t care to defend you,” Boreing added. “They want to make money off of your success while your political foes try to destroy you, and then they will watch you die.”
