Biden Picks New Labor Secretary

President Biden said on Tuesday he’s nominating the current deputy secretary of labor, Julie Su, to be the next Secretary of Labor. Su has come under criticism in the past for indirectly overseeing the California Employment Development Department as one-tenth of the $114 billion in pandemic relief claims the agency handled reportedly involved fraudulent activity. If confirmed, Su would replace Marty Walsh, who left the administration to become head of the National Hockey League Players’ Association.

Mississippi Bans Sex-Changes, Puberty Blocks, And Hormone Therapy For Children

Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves signed a bill today that would ban transgender medical treatments for children. House Bill 1125 bans sex-change surgical procedures, as well puberty blockers and hormone therapy for anyone under 18. Daily Wire host Matt Walsh was at the signing ceremony and gave remarks.

“I’m extremely encouraged to not only see this law being passed, but to see the national movement that we have been able to build pushing back against the gender ideology madness,” Walsh said, adding, “One of the most basic truths is that children who are confused about their identity need guidance and love and clarity. They don’t need hormone injections and scalpels.”
