President Donald Trump warned the Islamic Republic of Iran on Wednesday to immediately cut off its support for the Houthis, an Islamic terrorist group in Yemen.

“Reports are coming in that while Iran has lessened its intensity on Military Equipment and General Support to the Houthis, they are still sending large levels of Supplies,” Trump wrote in a post on social media.

“Iran must stop the sending of these Supplies IMMEDIATELY,” he said. “Let the Houthis fight it out themselves. Either way they lose, but this way they lose quickly.”

“Tremendous damage has been inflicted upon the Houthi barbarians, and watch how it will get progressively worse — It’s not even a fair fight, and never will be,” he added. “They will be completely annihilated!”

The remarks from the president come after he ordered the U.S. military to pound the Houthis into submission in response to the hundreds of terrorist attacks that they have launched against international merchant ships, U.S. naval vessels, and U.S. military drones in the Red Sea.

The Houthis launched the strikes as part of a wider war against Israel following Hamas’ October 7 massacre in Israel.

In addition to launching a large-scale bombing campaign against the terrorist group, the U.S. military is also highlighting how the group hurts the people in Yemen, thus weakening support for them at home.

“On March 15, the Houthis in Saada Governorate began seizing the World Food Program’s food stock from its warehouse in Saada,” U.S. Central Command said in a statement. “This warehouse contains over 5,700,000 pounds of commodities intended for Yemeni civilians. This illegal seizure of WFP commodities will further hinder the delivery of much-needed humanitarian assistance to the Yemeni people.”

“This is another example of the Houthi’s complete and reckless disregard for the people of Yemen and aggression toward the humanitarian operations that help those in need,” the statement added. “The Houthis continue to violate international humanitarian law, as well as put aid workers and the Yemeni people at risk. The Houthis care nothing for the Yemeni people.”

The U.S. has also released a significant amount of footage of the aircraft and naval vessels that have been involved in launching strikes against the terror group.
