Sunday Show Hosts Pan Putin Summit, And Trump Hits Back: ‘These People Are Sick!’

After a day filled with legacy media hosts using their platforms in a naked attempt to cast doubt on his Alaska summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, President Donald Trump took another jab at the critics he claims will never be convinced no matter how obvious his success might be.

Trump laid out his complaint in a post first shared on his Truth Social platform, pushing back in particular at those who claimed that his meeting with Putin had either been a failure in its entirety or had somehow been a win for the Russian leader because it was held on American soil.

“The Fake News has been saying for 3 days that I suffered a ‘major defeat’ by allowing President Vladimir Putin of Russia to have a major Summit in the United States,” Trump began, adding, “Actually, he would have loved doing the meeting anywhere else but the U.S., and the Fake News knows this. It was a major point of contention!”

“If we had the Summit elsewhere, the Democrat run and controlled media would have said what a terrible thing THAT was,” he continued, arguing that Democrats and media outlets would have found fault with anything he’d done.

“These people are sick!” he went on to reference several other major issues on which Democrats and media talking heads have largely sided against him and other Republicans — even if it meant they had to take a position that would be unpopular with the people.

“They even want CRIME IN D.C., and other BLUE Cities throughout our Country, but don’t worry, I won’t let that happen,” he said. “Just like our now secure Southern Border (ZERO illegals in last 3 months!), our cities will be Secure and Safe, and D.C. will lead the way!”

Trump leveled similar attacks against Democrats and media early Sunday morning, saying, “It’s incredible how the Fake News violently distorts the TRUTH when it comes to me. There is NOTHING I can say or do that would lead them to write or report honestly about me. I had a great meeting in Alaska on Biden’s stupid War, a war that should have never happened!!!”

He went on to claim in a second post that legacy media would find fault with his actions even if he convinced Putin to cede Moscow in negotiations aimed at ending the war with Ukraine.
