<p>President Donald Trump once again came to the defense of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, chastising the courts in Israel for proceeding with the case against him and comparing it to the cases against the president during the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.</p>
<p>Trump took to his Truth Social platform to <a href="https://truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTrump/posts/114763460580044614">address the issue</a>, saying that if the case proceeded, it could &#8220;interfere&#8221; with ongoing negotiations — both between Israel and Iran and between Israel and the terror group Hamas.</p>
<p>&#8220;It is terrible what they are doing in Israel to Bibi Netanyahu,&#8221; Trump began. &#8220;He is a War Hero, and a Prime Minister who did a fabulous job working with the United States to bring Great Success in getting rid of the dangerous Nuclear threat in Iran.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Importantly, he is right now in the process of negotiating a Deal with Hamas, which will include getting the Hostages back,&#8221; Trump continued. &#8220;How is it possible that the Prime Minister of Israel can be forced to sit in a Courtroom all day long, over NOTHING (Cigars, Bugs Bunny Doll, etc).&#8221;</p>
<p>Trump then made a direct comparison to the cases against him, which he&#8217;s repeatedly said were politically motivated, and argued that the case against Netanyahu was no different.</p>
