President Donald Trump shut down a rude and combative CNN reporter during the White House Coronavirus Task Force press briefing on Wednesday after the reporter repeatedly interrupted the meeting.

After Trump answered a question from Collins about the situation regarding North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Collins repeatedly interrupted the president as he tried to call on other reporters.

“So can I ask you a question?” Collins shouted.

“No, that’s enough,” Trump responded. “No, that’s enough.”

“But that wasn’t my question,” Collins continued.

“The problem is you don’t like the trust, so as far as I’m concerned I want to go to the next person,” Trump responded.

Collins continued to repeatedly continued to rudely interrupt the press briefing until Trump shutdown the reporter, saying, “CNN is fake news. Don’t talk to me.”

WATCH:

Collins had tried to ask about Dr. Rick Bright, director of the Department of Health and Human Services’ Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA), who claimed this week that he was removed from his position because he questioned the efficacy of hydroxychloroquine.

However, a report from Politico indicated that there appeared to be more to the story and that Bright had reportedly praised the anti-malaria drug in internal emails. The report said that officials had been wanting to remove Bright from his position due to “incompetence and insubordination” before the pandemic.

The questions about Kim came in response to a report from CNN earlier this week that claimed that he was having serious health issues and he was believed to be “in grave danger after undergoing a previous surgery.”

CNN reported:

A second source familiar with the intelligence told CNN that the US has been closely monitoring reports on Kim’s health.

Kim recently missed the celebration of his grandfather’s birthday on April 15, which raised speculation about his well-being. He had been seen four days before that at a government meeting.

Another US official told CNN Monday that the concerns about Kim’s health are credible but the severity is hard to assess.

National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien told Fox News this week: “We’re monitoring these reports very closely. As you know, North Korea is a very closed society.”

Bloomberg News reported that the Trump administration was not sure if Kim was even dead or alive.

The report’s author, Jennifer Jacobs, wrote on Twitter, “Trump admin received information that Kim Jong Un had heart surgery last week and if he’s alive, his health is poor, I’m told. KJU hasn’t been seen at key events in recent days. It’s unclear to US officials if he’s dead or alive.”

Jacobs added, “Trump administration officials are looking into who would be in the line of succession if Kim Jong Un dies or is already dead, I’m told.”
