In response to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) overt act of disrespect Tuesday evening, when she ripped up the president’s State of the Union speech with the nation watching, President Trump has taken it upon himself to promote a new hashtag by burying the speaker in rebuking retweets.

In the first of what would end up being a flood of Pelosi-themed posts, Trump tweeted out Tuesday night former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley’s response to Pelosi’s actions.

“Disappointed to see [Speaker Pelosi] rip up the speech that mentioned lives we’ve lost and heroes we celebrated at the SOTU,” wrote Haley in a post Trump retweeted (posts below). “No matter how you feel or what you disagree with, remember others are watching. This was unbecoming of someone at her level in office.”

“That was weak, Nancy,” wrote a Pelosi critic, the first Trump tweeted with a new hashtag “#PelosiTantrum.” “I wish she held her cool. Plays into every female stereotype. #PelosiTantrum

“It’s perfect that #PelosiTantrum is trending,” wrote Chicks On The Right, Trump’s next retweet, posted early Wednesday morning. “What a humiliating night for her all the way around. Nance – you might wanna go ahead and rip up those impeachment articles while you’re at it. Today’s gonna be a good day.”

“Dear USA Our political system here (UK) isn’t perfect, but our Speaker is supposed to be impartial and neutral – and seen to be so,” wrote another Pelosi critic. “He/she is removed from party affiliation while he/she holds the role of Speaker. Pelosi is a disgrace – whatever you think of Trump. #PelosiTantrum

“History won’t be kind for Nancy Pelosi: she will be remembered as the Speaker who initiated a malicious impeachment, who’s son Paul Pelosi was on the board of directors of Ukrainian Viscoil, and above all as the last Speaker of the House of the Democratic Party,” read another #PelosiTantrum post pushed out by Trump.

The only thing Nancy Pelosi proved is that liberalism is an ideology of insane hate and rage. She should be censured and forced to resign. #tcot #MAGA #PelosiTantrum #SOTU2020” read another.

After retweeting over a dozen more “Pelosi Tantrum” tweets, Trump posted the White House’s official response to the speaker’s actions: “Speaker Pelosi just ripped up: One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen. The survival of a child born at 21 weeks. The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller. A service member’s reunion with his family. That’s her legacy.”

In an interview with “Fox and Friends” Wednesday morning, Vice President Mike Pence also offered a response to Pelosi’s “petty” act of defiance. “I didn’t see her do it,” he said. “I found out just a few moments later — and I think it was a new low. I wasn’t sure if she was ripping up the speech or ripping up the Constitution.”

“The contrast here was a president who spent an hour and a half making the speech about America,” the Vice President continued. “And Nancy Pelosi, in the final moments, tried to make it about her. And I think the American people see through it. I think they see through the pettiness, they see through the politics of all of it.”
