<p>President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on Sunday after learning that his predecessor, former President Joe Biden, had been diagnosed with an &#8220;aggressive&#8221; form of prostate cancer that had already metastasized to his bones.</p>
<p>Trump responded to the sad news in a post on his Truth Social platform that was also shared by the White House&#8217;s official X account, saying that he and First Lady Melania Trump wished Biden and his family the best and hoped his treatment and recovery would be quick.</p>

<p>The news of Biden&#8217;s diagnosis broke on Sunday, just five days after it was reported that his doctors had discovered a &#8220;nodule&#8221; on his prostate and were conducting a more thorough examination.</p>
<p>&#8220;Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,&#8221; Biden&#8217;s team said in a statement. &#8220;While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management. The President and his family are reviewing treatment options with his physicians.&#8221;</p>
<p>Former Vice President Kamala Harris also shared her thoughts on the news in a post to X, saying, &#8220;Doug and I are saddened to learn of President Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis. We are keeping him, Dr. Biden, and their entire family in our hearts and prayers during this time. Joe is a fighter — and I know he will face this challenge with the same strength, resilience, and optimism that have always defined his life and leadership. We are hopeful for a full and speedy recovery.&#8221;</p>

Trump Reacts To Joe Biden’s Cancer Diagnosis

<p>Joe Biden&#8217;s office announced Sunday that the former president had been <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/joe-biden-diagnosed-with-aggressive-form-of-prostate-cancer" target="_blank" rel="noopener">diagnosed</a> with an &#8220;aggressive form&#8221; of prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones.</p>
<p>Almost immediately, doctors took to social media to explain the diagnosis and what it meant for Biden. But many physicians were shocked that Biden — who in theory underwent routine, high-quality medical examinations in the White House — did not have his cancer discovered until it had progressed to such a late stage.</p>
<p>The timing led some doctors to wonder whether Biden&#8217;s physicians had missed something, or if an earlier diagnosis had gone unreported.</p>
<p>&#8220;Sad and unfortunate and I wish the former President the best in his treatment of this cancer,&#8221; Congressman Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), who previously served as the White House physician, wrote on X. &#8220;Care at the White House should be second to none. Unbelievable this was missed, but the truth is, his physician was more concerned about assisting with the political cover up than providing world class medical care.&#8221;</p>

<p>Many doctors who raised questions about Biden&#8217;s diagnosis noted that prostate cancer is commonly detected early with a simple blood test for <a href="https://www.cancer.gov/types/prostate/psa-fact-sheet">Prostate-Specific Antigen</a> (PSA), a protein that can indicate the presence of cancer. When detected early — in Stages I,II, or III, when the cancer has not spread beyond the prostate gland — the average five-year survival rate is close to 100%. The average five-year survival rate for men with Stage IV or metastatic prostate cancer drops to 28%.</p>
<p>Dr. Chris George, who serves as the medical director of Northwestern Health Network&#8217;s cancer program, told Reuters it was concerning that Biden&#8217;s cancer had already spread to his bones.</p>
<p>&#8220;What concerns me &#8230; is the fact that the cancer has been reported to have already spread beyond the prostate to the bones. And when the cancer has spread to the bones, that makes it stage 4, that that means that the cancer is not curable,&#8221; George said. &#8220;There&#8217;s no treatment available that can cure the cancer. There&#8217;s definitely treatment available that can control the cancer.&#8221;</p>

<p>George said it was possible that Biden&#8217;s cancer was simply so aggressive that it had advanced dramatically since Biden&#8217;s last routine physical. But he said that scenario still raised questions as to whether a PSA screening might have caught the problem sooner.</p>
<p>&#8220;I would assume that the former president gets a very thorough physical every year,&#8221; George said. &#8220;I would be interested to know what his PSA was the last time it was checked.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s sort of hard for me to believe that he&#8217;s had a PSA within the past year, that was normal,&#8221; George told Reuters. &#8220;It&#8217;s possible. It&#8217;s definitely possible, but that would surprise me … Usually prostate cancer doesn&#8217;t, you know, go full throttle like this too often. When it does, that&#8217;s usually a bad, bad sign. That&#8217;s an aggressive cancer for sure. But it does seem odd to me.&#8221;</p>
<p>Dr. Steven Quay, a former faculty member at the Stanford University School of Medicine&#8217;s Pathology Department, also noted the significance of PSA screenings and how well it can detect prostate cancer in its early stages.</p>
<p>&#8220;Prostate cancer is the easiest cancer to diagnose when it first starts and to watch it progress to bone metastases. The PSA blood test shows the rate of cancer cell growth,&#8221; Quay said in an X post.</p>
<p>&#8220;For even with the most aggressive form, it is a 5-7 year journey without treatment before it becomes metastatic. Meaning, it would be malpractice for this patient to show up and be first diagnosed with metastatic disease in May 2025. It is highly likely he was carrying a diagnosis of prostate cancer throughout his White House tenure and the American people were uninformed.&#8221;</p>
<p>In response to post suggesting that Biden may not have been tested — some guidelines to not recommend PSA screenings for men over 70 unless they have risk factors — Quay pushed back.</p>
<p>&#8220;It is not credible to imagine that a Senator, Vice President, and President could not have undergone routine blood tests that included PSA,&#8221; Quay said. &#8220;I repeat my belief that it would be malpractice to not test PSA in a male U.S. President.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Yes, there are less than 5% of patients who can present with metastatic disease without primary indications via the PSA but &#8230; Come on, Man!!&#8221;</p>

Doctors Raise Questions About Timing Of Biden Cancer Diagnosis: ‘Unbelievable This Was Missed’

<p>Ashley Etienne, once an aide to former Vice President Kamala Harris, said on Sunday that she believed the release of audio from former President Joe Biden&#8217;s interview with then Special Counsel Robert Hur would ultimately help Democrats and could even be good for Biden.</p>
<p>The audio, which was released on Friday afternoon, painted a picture that reflected Hur&#8217;s assessment — that Biden was an elderly man who was at best, forgetful. The consensus across much of the media was that it only reinforced claims that Biden had been diminished long before the White House or even other Democrats and members of the press admitted it.</p>
<p>But according to Etienne, who appeared on NBC&#8217;s &#8220;Meet the Press&#8221; on Sunday, the release of the audio was far less damaging than it could have been primarily because it would be out of the news cycle long before any of the Democrats who&#8217;d defended Biden&#8217;s cognitive acuity and overall fitness had to run for reelection.</p>

Former Kamala Aide Says Biden-Hur Interview Audio Is … Good For Democrats?

<p><em>Editor&#8217;s note: yesterday, The Daily Wire <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/legacy-media-outlets-say-biden-book-is-full-of-bombshells-heres-what-you-need-to-know">published</a> a rundown of all the revelations in a forthcoming book about Joe Biden&#8217;s physical and mental decline. But today we ask: are revelations really revelatory if everyone already knew?</em></p>

<p>The forthcoming book &#8220;Original Sin&#8221; — which offers a behind-the-scenes look at the obvious physical and cognitive decline of former President Joe Biden — promises a host of &#8220;bombshells,&#8221; some of which have already been addressed in The Daily Wire&#8217;s reporting.</p>
<p>But are these bombshells really bombshells? The book&#8217;s authors — CNN anchor Jake Tapper and Axios reporter Alex Thompson — claim journalists like them were kept in the dark about Biden&#8217;s condition. The official media narrative is that the truth was only revealed at the June debate between Biden and President Donald Trump, when everyone saw with their own eyes what the White House had been trying to conceal.</p>
<p>For people who don&#8217;t follow politics, that explanation makes perfect sense: the occasional troubling soundbite from Biden leading up to the debate could be explained away as a &#8220;bad day&#8221; or an awkward moment &#8220;taken out of context.&#8221; But for reporters — particularly those covering politics and the White House — that excuse simply doesn&#8217;t hold water.</p>
<p>Republicans and right-leaning media outlets had been talking about the fact that Biden had lost a step or two for months, if not years, before he stepped into the studio for the CNN debate with President Donald Trump.</p>
<p>Still, as more and more of the &#8220;bombshells&#8221; drop, Democrats and legacy media outlets continue to stress the debate as the moment that everyone truly understood that Biden was likely finished.</p>
<p>Critics are not buying that, however — and they&#8217;re saying so.</p>

<p>Tapper, a CNN anchor, and Thompson, an Axios reporter, interviewed more than 200 people to catalogue Biden&#8217;s obvious cognitive and physical decline, and the lengths to which the people around him went to cover it up.</p>
<p>But while the book certainly seems to contain previously unknown details, many don&#8217;t seem to be &#8220;bombshells&#8221; to the average American who watched President Joe Biden stumble his way through his re-election campaign.</p>
<p>Here are the &#8220;bombshells.&#8221;</p>
<h3><strong>Biden&#8217;s staff considered the possibility that he might need a wheelchair.</strong></h3>
<p>Biden&#8217;s halting gait was the topic of much conversation among his critics, and according to &#8220;Original Sin,&#8221; it was a concern discussed at length by his staffers. The consensus was that he might <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/bidens-team-considered-putting-him-in-a-wheelchair-if-he-won-in-2024-new-book-says" target="_blank" rel="noopener">need a wheelchair,</a> but with him still on the ballot at the time, they worried about the optics of taking that step prior to the 2024 election.</p>
<p>&#8220;Biden’s physical deterioration — most apparent in his halting walk — had become so severe that there were internal discussions about putting the president in a wheelchair, but they couldn’t do so until after the election,&#8221; Tapper and Thompson wrote.</p>
<p>Biden&#8217;s physician, Dr. Kevin O&#8217;Connor, had also privately conveyed his concerns that the president could eventually take a fall that would make a wheelchair a necessity rather than an option.</p>
<p>In order to minimize the risk, Biden&#8217;s team made sure that the president wore shoes that were made for stability and had him board and disembark from Air Force One using the shorter staircase at the rear of the plane.</p>
<p>Still, according to Axios, O&#8217;Connor did not believe that Biden&#8217;s team was doing enough to safeguard the president: &#8220;O’Connor sometimes quipped that Biden’s staff members were trying to kill him, while he was trying to keep him alive.&#8221;</p>
<p>And when anyone asked about his gait or the fact that he&#8217;d switched to the short stairs, Biden&#8217;s team brushed aside concerns by claiming that his halting step was simply the result of his refusal to wear the walking boot long enough after fracturing his foot in November of 2020.</p>
<h3><strong>Biden failed to recognize his friend — and host — George Clooney at his 2024 Hollywood fundraiser.</strong></h3>
<p>Biden had a long history of flubbing the names of people at large events. But Tapper and Thompson wrote that he <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/behind-the-scenes-book-reveals-the-extensive-hollywood-magic-that-couldnt-save-biden" target="_blank" rel="noopener">failed to recognize</a> the Oscar-winning actor — with whom he&#8217;s been friends for years — when he approached him at a Hollywood fundraiser in June of 2024.</p>
<blockquote><p>“You know George,” the assisting aide told the President, gently reminding him who was in front of him. “Yeah, yeah,” the President said to one of the most recognizable men in the world, the host of this lucrative fund-raiser.</p>
<p>“Thank you for being here.”</p>
<p>“Hi, Mr. President,” Clooney said.</p>
<p>“How are ya?” the President replied.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">“How was your trip?” Clooney asked.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">“It was fine,” the President said.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">It seemed clear that the President had not recognized Clooney.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 16px;">“It was not O.K.,” recalled the Hollywood V.I.P. who had witnessed this moment. “That thing, the moment where you recognize someone you know—especially a famous person who’s doing a f***ing fund-raiser for you — it was delayed. It was uncomfortable.”</span></p></blockquote>
<p>Biden ultimately had to be reminded that the man standing in front of him was George Clooney.</p>
<h3><strong>Biden was hidden from his own staffers and cabinet members since at least 2023.</strong></h3>
<p>One staffer, who reportedly quit after Biden insisted on pushing ahead with a campaign for reelection, told Tapper and Thompson that access to Biden was strictly limited in order to keep people from seeing just how dramatic a change had taken place.</p>
<p>&#8220;We attempted to shield him from his own staff so many people didn’t realize the extent of the decline beginning in 2023,&#8221; the staffer said. &#8220;I love Joe Biden. When it comes to decency, there are few in politics like him. Still, it was a disservice to the country and to the party for his family and advisers to allow him to run again.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;When he proved incapable of delivering a two-minute video address without stumbling, aides filmed him with two cameras so the edit would be less obvious,&#8221; another staffer said.</p>
<p>The White House Press Corps&#8217; already-limited access to Biden was diminished even further, and reports circulated that he hadn&#8217;t met with certain members of his own cabinet in weeks or even months.</p>
<p>Full cabinet meetings, which had been few and far between from the word go, spread out to the point that Biden would hold only three in 2023 and one in 2024.</p>
<p>&#8220;We spoke with several cabinet secretaries for the book, and this period of time is what one of the secretaries called ‘The Weird Period,'&#8221; Jake Tapper said.</p>
<p>&#8220;Despite the earlier praise, the third cabinet secretary we spoke with told us that starting in 2023, quote, ‘For months we didn’t have access to him. There was clearly a deliberate strategy by the White House to have him meet with as few people as necessary,&#8221; Tapper continued, noting that very few of Biden&#8217;s cabinet secretaries met with the president after late 2023.</p>
<p>&#8220;And it was not just cabinet members who were kept away from the president. Aides who had once seen Biden regularly say they went months without seeing him. Others told us that in some meetings, Biden would mumble incoherently, something the public only got glimpses of,&#8221; he said.</p>
<p>If the assertions made in the book — and by other reporters, pundits, and high-ranking Democrats — are to be believed, the White House did such a good job of hiding Biden&#8217;s infirmity from all but his closest advisers that none of them were truly aware of how bad things had gotten until the CNN debate.</p>

<p>Comey&#8217;s photo, which he shared via Instagram, showed seashells arranged to form the numbers &#8220;86&#8221; and &#8220;47&#8221; — which was interpreted to mean &#8220;get rid of&#8221; President Donald Trump, the 47th president. It quickly caught the attention of a number of critics — including current FBI Director Kash Patel.</p>
