Donald Trump predicted Monday that Republicans may see significant victories in the 2022 midterms as a result of the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid.

The former president has frequently discussed the raid using his social media platform, Truth Social, to communicate with his base and suggest that the raid stemmed from ideological and partisan motives.

“Republicans could win many additional seats, both in the House & Senate, because of the strong backlash over the raid at Mar-a-Lago,” he said in a Truth Social post Monday afternoon.

“Polls are showing that some lost Republican territory over the last number of weeks has been more than made up with the unannounced Break In by the FBI, which should never have happened,” he added.

He also claimed in a separate Truth Social post that FBI “stole” three of his passports during the raid, saying, “This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our Country. Third World!”

In a Monday interview with Fox News Digital, the former president warned that people are incredibly “angry” about the raid and other attacks against him.

“People are so angry at what is taking place,” Trump said. “Whatever we can do to help — because the temperature has to be brought down in the country. If it isn’t, terrible things are going to happen.”

He also referenced the “years of fake witch hunts and phony Russia, Russia, Russia schemes and scams,” emphasizing that “nothing happens to those people who perpetuate that—nothing happens with them.”

“And then they break into a president’s house — a sneak attack where it was totally — no one ever thought a thing like this would happen,” Trump added.

Trump also said he told the DOJ he would do whatever he could to help, noting that he “has not heard” from the Justice Department regarding whether or not it will accept his offer of assistance.

“If there is anything we can do to help, I, and my people, would certainly be willing to do that,” Trump told Fox News Digital.

“The country is in a very dangerous position,” he said. “There is tremendous anger, like I’ve never seen before, over all of the scams, and this new one — years of scams and witch hunts, and now this.”

Agents reportedly seized classified records during the unprecedented raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home last week, including some reported records marked as top secret. Trump has said the records were declassified.
