President Donald Trump will tout his immigration crackdown at a Mississippi rally Monday evening, as the White House highlights recent arrests of illegal immigrants in the state, including some with murder and sexual assault convictions.

The president has made immigration enforcement a central part of his pitch for voters to keep Republicans in power as Election Day nears. The issue helped propel him to victory in both 2016 and 2024. During his rally in Corinth, Mississippi, he will contrast his immigration record with the lax border policies of former President Joe Biden.

“President Trump delivered the most secure border in American history and is deporting criminal illegal aliens at a record pace,” White House spokeswoman Lauren Bis told The Daily Wire. “The President’s law and order policies have resulted in the largest decrease in violent crime in American history. In sharp contrast, radical Democrats want open borders, to abolish ICE, and flood American communities with criminals.”

Ahead of the rally, the White House highlighted arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during operations in Mississippi earlier this month.

The operations took place in Yazoo, a city of about 10,000 in central Mississippi, and Tutwiler, a town of about 2,000 in northern Mississippi. According to the White House, those arrests included:

  • Wilbur Rosemberg Ayala-Ardon, an illegal immigrant from El Salvador with convictions on two counts of attempted murder in aid of racketeering. The White House identified him as a member of MS-13.
  • Pedro Ramirez-Lopez, an illegal immigrant from Guatemala with convictions for harboring and concealing aliens for financial gain, hostage-taking, and conspiracy. He was identified as a member of Paisas, a gang composed of Mexican and Central American nationals.
  • Jose Rolando Alman-Gonzalez, an illegal immigrant from Honduras with convictions for sexual assault, rape, and illegal re-entry. The White House also identified him as a Paisas gang member.
  • Orlin Leodan Ayala-Gomez, an illegal immigrant from Honduras with convictions for aggravated domestic assault and alien possession of a firearm.
  • Javier Mendoza, an illegal immigrant from Mexico with convictions for sexual assault and illegal re-entry.

Trump’s appearance in support of Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith comes as Republicans face a difficult political environment across the country, including in red states like Mississippi and Kansas. The president will make campaign stops in other red states this week, including Ohio, Texas, South Carolina, Florida, and Iowa.

The White House has also tied the decline in violent crime across the country to the Trump administration’s focus on immigration enforcement. Trump is expected to discuss the Justice Department’s latest National Crime Victimization Survey, released Monday, which shows fewer Americans reporting that they were victims of violent or property crime in 2025 compared to 2024.
