Former President Donald Trump’s campaign confirmed that its fundraising site WinRed crashed after Trump was found guilty on Thursday by a New York jury.

In a post on X, Trump’s campaign wrote, “If you are one of the millions of American Patriots wanting to donate to Donald Trump’s campaign and you get an error message from [WINRED] …don’t give up!”

“Log back on and try again,” it added, encouraging supporters to keep trying. “Or Text TRUMP to 88022 Help us send weak JoeBiden packing !!!”

The crash came after jurors returned a guilty verdict on all 34 counts against Trump in the hush-money trial, marking the first time a former U.S. president has been convicted of a crime.

Not only did Trump’s donations page crash after the guilty verdict, but so did DonaldJTrump.com, which forwards to his WinRed page.

“This means he can’t take in any donations at a particularly helpful time to haul in cash,” he added.

At the time of this publication, it looks like donaldjtrump.com is back up and has been updated to note the conviction.

“I’M A POLITICAL PRISONER!” says the former president’s fundraising page. “I was just convicted in a RIGGED political Witch Hunt trial.”

Podcaster Tim Pool wrote on X to his 2 million followers that he had “just donated the maximum to Donald Trump” after the website recovered.

Piers Morgan reacted to the guilty verdict by the jury against Trump and predicted that it will “propel” the former president “back into the White House.”

Trump’s donation websites are crashing,” said the British commentator, adding “my guess is this verdict will propel him back into the White House.”

In his Thursday post on X, the talk show host called it “a sad, shameful and ridiculous day for America.”

“To drag a former President, who is running for President again, through criminal courts over something so trivial feels a massive overreach & an incredibly divisive and obviously politically partisan action,” he added.  The post that has since gone viral with more than 1.1 million views.

The decision, which will likely be appealed, is the culmination of a weeks-long courtroom battle in which Trump claimed he was the target of a “political persecution” as he runs another campaign for a second term in the White House.
