Travis Kelce Shut Down Claims He ‘Pushed’ Swift’s Security Guard While On Date

Chiefs’ star Travis Kelce shut down claims that he “pushed” Taylor Swift’s security guard out of the way while he and the pop star were out on a date on Saturday in New York City.

During the Kansas City player’s “New Heights” podcast on Tuesday with his brother — Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce — the Philadelphia star asked his brother if he got “any pushback” after video surfaced of him moving the guard so he could open Swift’s car door.

“I didn’t push him,” the KC star replied. “I placed my hand on the gentleman’s back to let him know I was behind him.”

“If I would have pushed him, he probably would have turned around and tased me,” he added.

Jason pressed Travis and said “it’s on camera” as he trolled his brother that his comment sounded like something “somebody who pushed somebody” would say.

The “Shake It Off” hitmaker’s rumored beau doubled down and explained what he said was happening in the video from their date night.

“[It was more like], ‘Good sir, would you excuse me? I need to get the door,” the Chiefs star said.  “Sorry. Right behind you. Don’t want to startle you. I know it’s your job to keep crazy people away and if you get randomly pushed in the back while standing in front of a door, that could probably be a little alarming.'”

Kelce also said the security guard didn’t “say anything about” him stepping in.

Jason then pressed his brother if he felt like “a security guard” when he was out with Swift and the Chiefs star said he’s “protective, for sure” whenever he’s out on a date.

“I’m always like having the sense I’m a man in the situation,” the KC star said, adding that he has to have the “self-awareness” of the environment he’s in.

Kelce and Swift definitely got everyone’s attention on Saturday when they showed some public displays of affection, seemingly confirming the rumors that the two were dating, Page Six noted.

The superstars were photographed and caught on video holding hands while out to dinner and on their way to a “Saturday Night Live” afterparty — after both shocked fans and made a surprise appearance on “SNL’s” first episode of the season.
