[UPDATE: Hoax] Teen Who Wants To Look Like Angelina Jolie Reportedly Undergoes 50 Surgeries

An Iranian teenager claims she’s undergone some 50 surgeries in an attempt to transform herself into Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie.

Sahar Tabar, 19, says she’s Jolie’s biggest fan, willing to “do anything” to look like her. According to Belgian website Sud Info, all 50 cosmetic surgeries have taken place over the past few months.

She’s also reportedly dropped a massive amount of weight to attain her new look, making her dangerously thin.

According to The Sun, Tabar’s transformation via surgery “hasn’t been officially confirmed however, so it’s possible her unique looks are the result of careful make up or even prosthesis.”

The Tehran native ,who’s tragically deformed herself to appear like someone she’s not, has over 300,000 Instagram followers. Tabar frequently posts selfies and videos.

“Do not be afraid to be different,” Tabar captioned a photo posted in March.

UPDATE: On December 4, Sahar Tabar admitted to Russia’s Sputnik news that she uses prosthetics and Photoshop for her photos and that has only undergone four cosmetic surgeries, not the reported 50.

“No, of course. This is Photoshop and makeup,” she told the outlet. “Every time I publish a photo, I paint my face in an increasingly funny way. It is a way of expressing yourself, a kind of art. My fans know that this is not my real face.”

Additionally, Tabar said she was not attempting to emulate actress Hollywood Angelina Jolie: “Actually, no. I did not even think about being like Jolie,” Tabar said. “Also, I did not want to resemble the cartoon character ‘Rotting Bride.’ Now I understand that I have something to do with them, but I am a muse myself and remembering someone is not an end in itself.”
