If Rosie O’Donnell were a conservative, she’d be called a disgusting racist based on a public apology she just made on TikTok.

The outspoken comedian made an apology video recounting an incident that happened at Nobu Malibu. O’Donnell explained how she recently “embarrassed” her son, his girlfriend, and Fran Drescher after she approached Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra, who were also dining there.

She said she “had always assumed” the former Bollywood star “was Deepak Chopra’s daughter.” But the “A League of Their Own” star didn’t know Priyanka’s first name at the time or when she made the video.

“Seated next to us was Nick Jonas and his wife ‘someone’ Chopra, which I always assumed was Deepak Chopra’s daughter,” she said in the video. “So, when I said, ‘Hi, Nick Jonas, you were great in ‘Kingdom,’ and ‘Hi, I know your dad,’ she goes, ‘You do? Who’s my dad?’ And I’m like, ‘Deepak…,'” O’Donnell said in her TikTok video.

“She’s like, ‘No, and Chopra is a common name.’ … I felt so embarrassed.”

“Didn’t you think that Nick Jonas was married to Deepak Chopra’s daughter?” O’Donnell asked. “Am I the only one who thought that?”

She went on, making matters much worse by forgetting or not bothering to look up Chopra’s first name for a second time.

“Nick Jonas, I apologize and to the ‘Chopra wife’, I apologize, too,” O’Donnell said.

Chopra was not thrilled with the apology, especially because the comedian didn’t seem to care about researching her name before recording it.

“I have never taken myself so seriously to think everyone would know who I am, or my work for that matter. But if you wanted to make a public apology for a very awkward private encounter, I think probably best to take the time to google my name before doing it or even try to reach out directly,” the “Matrix” alum shared to her Instagram Story Wednesday.

“We ALL deserve to be respected for our unique individuality and not be referred to as ‘someone’ or ‘wife’ especially in a sincere apology,” the post continued. “If we can learn to respect our differences in an authentic way, the world we raise our children in, will be amazing.”

Chopra concluded by saying, “PS – As I’ve said before, not all Chopra’s [sic] are related to the great Deepak, just as not all Smith’s [sic] are related to the legendary Will Smith.”

O’Donnell attempted to apologize again after getting some pushback from fans on social media.

“People thought that she was rude. She wasn’t rude. It was just awkward. I’m sure she gets sick of that. I’m sure I’m not the only one. According to the comments, a lot of people thought that, too, but she’s apparently a very well-known actress and more famous than him, people were saying. So I’m sure it felt weird to her, to begin with,” O’Donnell said.

“Anyway, Priyanka is her name. Priyanka. I hope I’m pronouncing that right. I just want to apologize to her and to everyone who thought that it was really inappropriate of me. Sorry, sometimes I f*** up. I did at Nobu,” the comedian concluded.
