“Riverdale” actress Lili Reinhart slammed stars who she said “openly” admitted to “starving themselves” to fit into their outfits for their appearances at the Met Gala, calling it beyond “wrong.”
The 25-year-old didn’t name any specific celebrities in her posts on her Instagram story, but made it clear that stars who gave interviews on the red carpet of the big gala in New York City Monday were completely forgetting that “millions of young men and women are looking up to you,” reported E! News.
“To walk on a red carpet and do an interview where you say how starving you are… because you haven’t eaten carbs in the last month…all to fit in a f***ing dress?” Reinhart shared. “So wrong. So f***ed on 100s of levels.”
“To openly admit to starving yourself for the sake of the Met Gala,” she added. “When you know very well that millions of young men and women are looking up to you and listening to your every word. The ignorance is other-worldly disgusting.”

“Please stop supporting these stupid, harmful celebrities whose entire image revolves around their bodies,” Reinhart continued. “I am not generally an angry person but I swear to god, the toxicity of this industry sometimes really gets to me.”
Reality star Kim Kardashian did an interview with Vogue magazine about cutting out “all sugar and all carbs” so she could fit into the actual dress that Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe wore in 1962 when the late star famously sang “Happy Birthday, Mr. President,” to John F. Kennedy.
“I always thought she was extremely curvy,” Kardashian shared. “I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in places where she was smaller. So when it didn’t fit me I wanted to cry because it can’t be altered at all.”
So, Kim said there was only one plan to fit the dress, which was to be “so strict” with herself.
“I would wear a sauna suit twice a day, run on the treadmill, completely cut out all sugar and all carbs, and just eat the cleanest veggies and protein,” “The Kardashians” star explained. “I didn’t starve myself, but I was so strict.”
