Three police officers and the suspect who opened fire on them are dead after a shooting that took place on Wednesday afternoon in North Codorus Township, York County, Pennsylvania. Two other officers remain in critical condition but are considered stable.
According to multiple reports, the suspect was the subject of a stalking and trespass charge that was filed earlier in the day in York County, and police were going to make an arrest when the shooter — who has not yet been identified — instead opened fire.
Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner, Col. Christopher Paris, confirmed during a news conference on Wednesday afternoon that three of the Northern York Regional Police Department officers involved had been killed and their attacker had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Paris also announced that an investigation was still ongoing.

Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a statement following the tragic shooting, saying via X, &#8220;The @FBI and @ATFHQ are on the scene supporting local law enforcement following the shooting of multiple police officers in York County, Pennsylvania.

Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) also commented on the shooting, praising law enforcement officers for the work they do every day — and also pointed out that their families serve with them.
&#8220;It’s an extraordinary thing what these law enforcement families do. They support the individual who puts on the uniform and runs toward danger. They’re there for them when they leave in the morning, and they pray throughout the day that they will come home at night,&#8221; he said.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH) used some of his time during a Wednesday hearing to grill FBI Director Kash Patel over what the FBI is no longer doing in order to be more effective and less political.
Jordan asked Patel — who spent much of his Senate hearing on Tuesday and his House hearing on Wednesday facing off with Democrats in both chambers — a series of rapid-fire questions before giving the Director a chance to answer them. Nearly every question referenced something that the FBI had been accused of doing under former President Joe Biden.

&#8220;Is the FBI still cooking the books on crime data?&#8221; Jordan wondered.
&#8220;The crime data is real,&#8221; Patel laughed again.
&#8220;Is the FBI still purging agents for conservative viewpoints?&#8221; Jordan wondered.
&#8220;No one at the FBI is asked their viewpoints on politics,&#8221; said Patel.
&#8220;Is the FBI still labeling the Betsy Ross Flag, the flag of the American Revolution, a &#8216;hate symbol?'&#8221; Jordan asked one last question.
&#8220;No,&#8221; Patel responded.
&#8220;Well, maybe that&#8217;s why you&#8217;ve been able to — what was the number, 23,000 bad guys you&#8217;ve arrested? A HUGE increase from the same time period in the previous administration? I think you said 1,400 predators? 4,000 children rescued? Were those the facts?&#8221; Jordan asked.
&#8220;Forty-seven hundred. A 33% increase on children rescued,&#8221; Patel clarified.
&#8220;Yeah,&#8221; Jordan responded, noting that under Patel&#8217;s leadership, the FBI had also caught the person responsible for the Abbey Gate bombing during the previous administration&#8217;s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. &#8220;Maybe when you&#8217;re not focused on politics, you can focus on what the FBI is supposed to do — GO GET THE BAD GUYS!&#8221;

Jim Jordan Grills Kash Patel On All The Things The FBI Is NOT Doing (Anymore)

FBI Director Kash Patel went toe to toe with several Democrats during a Tuesday hearing in the House Judiciary Committee, clashing with Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) over the release of files related to the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Raskin, who led the second impeachment hearings during President Donald Trump&#8217;s first term, heavily suggested that Patel was stonewalling Democrats in their persistent efforts to make the Epstein files public — efforts in which they showed no interest while former President Joe Biden was in office — and that he was likely doing so at Trump&#8217;s request. Patel repeatedly reminded Raskin that numerous court orders prevented him from simply releasing the files.

&#8220;You were sworn in as director more than 200 days ago. Now the Black Book is under your direct control. So why haven’t you released the names of Epstein’s co-conspirators in the rape and sex trafficking of young women and girls?&#8221; Raskin demanded.
Patel pointed to the multiple court orders and a previous agreement Epstein had reached with federal prosecutors, noting that the disgraced financier had been free for 12 years and previous administrations — including former President Barack Obama&#8217;s — had done nothing to move his case forward.
&#8220;Has anyone released more information on Epstein than I have? Did Comey? Did Wray?&#8221; Patel asked, and Raskin insisted that it wasn&#8217;t enough.
&#8220;Why don&#8217;t you just release the entire file as you promised to do?&#8221; Raskin asked.
&#8220;I literally just told you, there are multiple federal court orders, I’m not going to break the law to satisfy your curiosity,&#8221; Patel shot back. &#8220;You didn&#8217;t join us when we filed in the courts to release the court orders. You could&#8217;ve. You have lawyers. You could&#8217;ve shown up. You didn&#8217;t do that!&#8221;
&#8220;That’s a tiny fraction of the material we’re talking about,&#8221; Raskin insisted.
Patel pointed out that if the information had not been released, Raskin could not possibly know how much information there was. &#8220;How do you know that? Have you seen everything?&#8221;
&#8220;It’s all misdirection,&#8221; Raskin claimed as his time expired.

Kash Patel Schools Dem On Epstein: ‘I’m Not Going To Break The Law To Satisfy Your Curiosity’

Daily Wire host Isabel Brown is set to speak at a Turning Point USA event at Colorado State University — an event where the campus organization’s founder, Charlie Kirk, was initially scheduled to appear before his assassination in Utah on Wednesday, September 10.
Brown, an alumna of CSU herself and the former TPUSA president for that campus’ chapter, said that the organization had declined to cancel the planned event in the wake of Kirk’s murder — but had instead booked a larger venue and forged ahead with what quickly became a vigil for their late founder.

“Charlie Kirk was scheduled to speak tomorrow at my alma mater, Colorado State University, where in 2018 he came to speak to our @TPUSA chapter while I was then-chapter president,” Brown posted via X. “He was SO excited to be back in Fort Collins, and two weeks ago was texting me links to local media coverage about his return to campus.”
When Kirk was shot during an appearance at Utah Valley University a week prior, however, Brown said that the expectation was that TPUSA would cancel the Colorado State University event.
“Everyone expected the students to cancel their event,” she continued. “Instead, they moved it — to the largest venue on campus as a place for people across Colorado &amp; the West to mourn Charlie&#8217;s life and honor his legacy. I am humbled and honored to have been asked to return to CSU to speak tomorrow at Charlie&#8217;s vigil.”
“This will be one of the hardest events I’ve ever done, but easily the most important by a mile,” she concluded. “See you tomorrow, Rams. God Bless You.”
Brown offered her thoughts on Kirk’s passing — and his legacy — in a lengthy post still pinned to her X profile.

Isabel Brown To Speak At TPUSA Event Honoring Charlie Kirk

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) refused to let it go when CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins claimed that no one could really speak to the motive in last week’s assassination of conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk.
Cruz joined Collins to discuss the still-unfolding case after charges were officially filed against suspected assassin Tyler Robinson, 22, and text messages between Robinson and his live-in boyfriend — who is transitioning to identify as a woman — were released to the public.
“We don&#8217;t have a motive yet. We don&#8217;t know yet. We&#8217;re waiting,” Collins said, noting that several officials have spoken about the shooting and the subsequent arrest, as well as a number of interviews with people who knew Robinson.
“Of course we know. Come on. &#8216;We don&#8217;t have a motive yet. We know we don&#8217;t have a motive yet.&#8217; Really, that&#8217;s CNN&#8217;s position? He happened to fire the gun in celebration?!” Cruz pushed back.

Collins continued to claim that the motive was unknown, and Cruz continued to push back as the segment progressed.
“With all due respect. You know exactly what I&#8217;m saying. I&#8217;m not arguing with you politically. I&#8217;m saying that law enforcement has not put a specific motive. You know that there&#8217;s a difference of what they&#8217;re putting in a legal argument and what you&#8217;re talking about,” Collins argued.
“What you just said is false,” Cruz said, and the two continued to talk over each other before moving on to discuss political violence in more general terms.

As Cruz noted, the district attorney had said that Robinson had been radicalized with far-Left ideology. Robinson himself had allegedly told his roommate and boyfriend that he’d shot Kirk because he “had enough of his hatred. Some hatred can&#8217;t be negotiated out.”

‘That’s CNN’s Position?’: Ted Cruz Dismantles Kaitlan Collins Over Motive In Kirk Assassination

Montel Williams attempted to paint suspected assassin Tyler Robinson as an emotionally-driven “love-torn child” who felt like killing conservative commentator and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was his only option.
Williams joined host Abby Phillip and a panel of other commentators on CNN’s “NewsNight” to discuss the still unfolding story about Robinson, his gender-transitioning live-in boyfriend, and the text messages the two exchanged after Robinson allegedly shot Kirk at Utah Valley University — and he argued that Robinson likely shot Kirk out of desperation because of his views on the relationship in which he was involved.

“There are people who are trying to pigeonhole this as a leftist thing and a Right thing, and what we’re really talking about — hear me, because I&#8217;m going to throw you when I say this, we&#8217;re talking about a love-torn child, a kid,” Williams said despite the fact that Robinson is 22 years old. “This is probably his first real relationship. And somebody was disparaging the person that he loved.”
“He sat on that building for 30 minutes before he took the shot. Why do you wait until the first word trans came up? Then he took the shot,” Williams said, arguing that Robinson had been listening to Kirk’s event live and had waited until the first mention of the word “transgender” intentionally. “I think he could hear it.”
Williams went on to say that he believed the shooting had been rooted in emotion rather than politics, failing to acknowledge that the two can indeed intersect. “I think he also — I don’t believe he was motivated politically. I think this was motivated emotionally. I think this was an emotionally stunted person who literally, when I say it this way, just hear me, tried to defend his significant other, not trying to defend some ideology.”
Williams’ assessment came just hours after ABC reporter <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/abc-reporter-describes-suspects-texts-confessing-to-charlie-kirk-assassination-as-very-touching">Matt Gutman</a> took a wave of backlash for saying that the texts between Robinson and his boyfriend — which appeared to include an admission of guilt as well as detailed information about the weapon he allegedly used and where he left it — were “very touching” because Robinson also used the phrase “my love” when addressing his partner. Gutman later <a href="https://x.com/mattgutmanABC/status/1968261725943472448">apologized</a> on X.
