<p>Actress Elizabeth Olsen made it clear that when it came to doing her own film stunts as <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/thor-actor-chris-hemsworth-may-take-fewer-roles-in-the-future-heres-why" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Marvel&#8217;s</a> Scarlet Witch, she had been there and done that — and she&#8217;d be just fine with not doing it again.</p>
<p>Olsen made the comments during a recent appearance on &#8220;The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,&#8221; and she told the host that while she understood why some actors really loved doing their own <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/the-world-was-sideways-brendan-fraser-explains-how-he-almost-died-filming-the-mummy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stunt work,</a> she did not count herself among them.</p>

<p>Colbert prompted the discussion on stunts by recalling a story he&#8217;d heard about how Olsen had to do multiple takes of certain wire stunts because she could not stop laughing.</p>
<p>&#8220;Your stomach leaves you. It’s like, I guess, the joy people get on roller coasters, which I don’t get, but people love that feeling&#8230; I’ve definitely recovered from my giddiness,&#8221; Olsen replied. &#8220;Sometimes I’m just like, &#8216;Okay, how many more of these do you want? I can do this all day&#8217; kind of thing. But sometimes I get a little freaked out.&#8221;</p>
<p>Olsen went on to <a href="https://variety.com/2023/film/news/elizabeth-olsen-marvel-stunts-waste-of-time-scarlet-witch-1235589738/?cx_testId=48&amp;cx_testVariant=cx_1&amp;cx_artPos=5#cxrecs_s" target="_blank" rel="noopener">explain</a> that at the end of the day, she felt like it would be better for her stunt double to do those sequences.</p>
<p>&#8220;There is one in &#8216;Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness&#8217; where I had to be dropped from 30 feet up and land. They wanted to drop me pretty quickly so that it looked like it had an impact, but I kept landing like Peter Pan, kind of like fencing? I was like, &#8216;Just use the double. This is so ridiculous — there is a double for a reason. Like, face replace …&#8217; They do it all the time. And they used it,&#8221; she continued.</p>
<p>Olsen, whose Scarlet Witch went dark in the latest &#8220;Doctor Strange&#8221; film, said that she had done a lot of her own stunts for that movie and was ready to give up on taking them on herself: &#8220;It’s a waste of everyone’s time because a stunt double does it so much better.&#8221;</p>
