‘They Were Afraid’: Mark Cuban Says Kamala Campaign ‘Didn’t Trust Her’ To Go On ‘Bro Podcasts’

Businessman Mark Cuban revealed during a recent podcast appearance that even though he had pressed former Vice President Kamala Harris to do more of the “bro podcasts” ahead of the 2024 presidential election, her campaign team had actively prevented her from doing so.

Cuban made the admission on a recent episode of “Pod Save America,” saying that while he and other surrogates were permitted — and encouraged — to make such appearances, campaign leadership kept Harris on the sidelines because “they didn’t trust her” to not make mistakes.

“One of your main jobs on the Harris campaign was — they sent — you went on all the quote, unquote, ‘bro podcasts,’ right?” the host began. “You were on Theo Vonn, you were on ‘Flagrant,’ you went on ‘All In’ with all the tech guys and all of that — and I heard you tell Tim Miller of The Bulwark that you told the Harris campaign they should go do those things. Why did that not happen? Like, what was the response when you said that?”

“They were afraid,” Cuban replied. “They were afraid, right? They didn’t trust her.”

“That she would make a mistake?” the host prompted.

“Yeah, and because they had her so wrapped — so wound tight — like if the cursing Kamala would have gone on the ‘bro-casts,’ she would have killed it,” Cuban said.

The host pointed out that she had done at least one podcast appearance — “Club Shay Shay” with Sterling Sharpe — where she’d appeared more relaxed, and Cuban agreed: “You could see some of her personality come out.”

“But even like Alex Cooper [‘Call Her Daddy’] that was so just — you know — pre-set, right?” Cuban continued. “That was so overly organized that it made it tough.”
