<p>School officials in the United Kingdom have reportedly begun to advise Jewish students to hide their identities while walking to and from school — apparently out of fear that something could happen to them if they didn&#8217;t.</p>
<p>&#8220;Harry Potter&#8221; author <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/j-k-rowling-nails-it-real-fascists-have-spotted-a-glorious-opportunity-in-trans-activism" target="_blank" rel="noopener">J.K. Rowling</a> shared a photo of a newspaper story out of London that mentioned children leaving certain items of clothing behind — or covering them up — in an effort to limit the visual cues identifying them as Jews.</p>
<p>&#8220;We said &#8216;never again.&#8217; The UK was a safe haven,&#8221; Rowling posted via X. &#8220;Now, after the biggest massacre of Jews since the holocaust, British Jewish children are being advised to hide their identities as they walk to school, for their own safety. There should be mass outrage that this is necessary.&#8221;</p>

<p>The pictured article appears to be a concerned letter-to-the-editor from a local resident whose daughter was warned not to wear her school&#8217;s logo when she went out alone — and had already witnessed some anti-Israel actions in her own neighborhood.</p>
<p>&#8220;Sir, on advice from her school our teenage daughter has gone off without her blazer this morning. Her male classmates have been advised to cover their skullcaps with baseball caps,&#8221; the letter read.</p>
<p>&#8220;On her pre-school dawn run yesterday she ran past the broken glass of a kosher cafe’s windows and a fresh anti-Israel slogan painted on a bridge,&#8221; it continued. &#8220;All my grandparents were Holocaust survivors who found safe haven, and built new lives, in the UK, so of course I am twitching with latent anxiety and the creeping dangers of the masses not speaking out against terrorism. I sincerely hope Rishi Sunak honors his pledge to stand with Israel and protect British Jews.&#8221;</p>
