<p>The hosts of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View&#8221; complained during Thursday&#8217;s broadcast that the Supreme Court was plotting to &#8220;help Trump&#8221; by taking up the case regarding whether or not the former president was immune from prosecution.</p>
<p>Cohost Joy Behar, ignoring the fact that the Supreme Court was already <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/supreme-court-takes-up-trump-immunity-claim" target="_blank" rel="noopener">expediting the case</a> at Special Counsel Jack Smith&#8217;s request, questioned the timing of the case — asking specifically why they wouldn&#8217;t take up the case &#8220;immediately.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;They&#8217;re not taking up this case immediately, so what&#8217;s their motivation then?&#8221; Behar asked. &#8220;What is their motivation for not doing it right away?&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Unfortunately, some people are saying the motivation is that there are certain conservative justices that have been appointed by Trump that want to help him,&#8221; cohost Sunny Hostin alleged, suggesting that the timing was an intentional move to make sure that Smith&#8217;s case against Trump could not be completed prior to the presidential election in November.</p>
<p>&#8220;Because we know the end result is — if this case is not resolved by the time of the election and he God forbid becomes the President of the United States — the Justice Department policy is that you can&#8217;t indict nor put on trial a sitting president, right? And so it&#8217;s his get out of jail free — but it&#8217;s his get out of jail free card.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;He could throw him in jail,&#8221; Goldberg interrupted as Hostin finished. &#8220;No, no, no, I&#8217;m saying Biden could &#8230;&#8221;</p>

<p>Hostin followed that up with a reference to the 2000 presidential election and the <a href="https://www.britannica.com/event/Bush-v-Gore" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Bush v. Gore</em></a> case that came after Gore raised questions surrounding the Florida ballots and multiple recounts found in Bush&#8217;s favor.</p>
<p>&#8220;The <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/revisionist-nonsense-twittersphere-comes-for-abc-journo-when-he-claims-al-gore-was-a-gracious-loser" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Bush v. Gore</em></a> case happened real quick,&#8221; Hostin said, arguing that the Supreme Court knew how to <em><strong>truly</strong></em> expedite things when they chose to do so. &#8220;The Supreme Court knows how to work real fast.&#8221;</p>

<p>Behar got sidetracked by the mention of the 2000 election, saying of the Court&#8217;s decision: &#8220;That&#8217;s was the day democracy died.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Well &#8230; it was certainly an injustice to many people,&#8221; Hostin replied.</p>
<p>&#8220;It was choking it,&#8221; Goldberg added. &#8220;It was choking it.&#8221;</p>
