&#8220;The View&#8221; co-host Sunny Hostin claimed on Wednesday that billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk was responsible — through cuts suggested by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) project — for the loss of some 300,000 lives, who were &#8220;mostly children.&#8221;
Hostin made the comments during the ABC midday broadcast of &#8220;The View,&#8221; where she argued that even though Musk was stepping away from a more central role within President Donald Trump&#8217;s inner circle, he and his counterparts at DOGE had already done immeasurable damage.

&#8220;But the damage that he did was just really incredible,&#8221; Hostin said. &#8220;He slashed 250,000 federal employees, more than 8500 contracts, more than 10,000 grants, and his cutbacks on medical research cost the lives of — the foreign aid — cost 300,000 lives, mostly children.&#8221;
&#8220;That&#8217;s the damage that Elon Musk did, so I don&#8217;t think anyone should be listening to him about anything,&#8221; she insisted.
The rest of Hostin&#8217;s co-hosts joined the pile-on a bit later, but they also were quick to suggest that Trump might need to watch his step as Musk exits the administration.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has issued a subpoena compelling former White House physician Kevin O&#8217;Connor to testify on Capitol Hill at the end of June.
A probe into the Biden White House — and any attempts that were made to hide the former president&#8217;s physical and cognitive decline from the American people — was announced earlier in the week. The investigation will also explore the extensive use of an autopen during Biden&#8217;s presidency, with particular attention paid to whether or not Biden was aware of what was being signed when the autopen was in use.

Congress Hits Biden’s Doc With Subpoena As Part Of Cover-Up Probe

The attorney representing Mohamed Sabry Soliman — the terrorist charged with firebombing a peaceful pro-Israel demonstration in Boulder, Colorado — was reportedly barred from practicing law just six years earlier over what was described as “misconduct concerning an immigration matter.”
The Federalist’s Sean Davis shared the story in a post on X, explaining that attorney Susanna Dvortsin had been reprimanded by the South Dakota Supreme Court and barred from practicing law in that state in 2019.
“Guess who was banned from practicing law in 2019 for immigration misconduct? The attorney for the illegal immigrant family of the Egyptian terrorist who set a bunch of Jews on fire in Colorado.&#8221;
In 2019, the South Dakota Supreme Court prohibited Susanna Dvortsin from practicing law in the state due to ‘misconduct concerning an immigration matter,’” Davis began.
&#8220;The U.S. Department of Justice went even further in 2019 and banned Dvortsin from practicing law before the Department of Homeland Security,” he added.
The statement from the Justice Department read, “[Dvortsin] is immediately suspended from the practice of law before the Board [of Immigration Appeals], the Immigration Courts, or the DHS.”

Davis included a screenshot of a news story revealing that Dvortsin was the attorney representing Soliman and his family as President Donald Trump’s administration attempts to prosecute Soliman and facilitate the deportation of the rest of his family.

He also included a screenshot of  the decision rendered by the Board of Immigration Appeals, which did not detail the nature of the “misconduct,” but affirmed the South Dakota Supreme Court&#8217;s ruling to bar her from practicing for 115 days and stated that she should also be barred from practicing law before the Board, DHS, or Immigration Courts. The order also stated that Dvortsin was to notify all parties in any pending cases set to go before those designated bodies of her suspension.

Lawyer For Colorado Terrorist Previously Banned From Practicing Over ‘Immigration Misconduct’

Whoopi Goldberg came unglued during Thursday’s broadcast of “The View” on ABC, claiming even after living through all eight years of former President Barack Obama’s time in office, people keep telling her America “can’t elect a black man.”
Goldberg made the comment while complaining about the fact that, at least in her mind, Governor Wes Moore (D-MD) was not getting the kind of national buzz that she thought he deserved.
She began by claiming that she herself was so independent politically that even the term “independent” did not go far enough to describe her.

Sunny Hostin began the conversation, saying that Goldberg, to her knowledge, had “been independent for a while.”
&#8220;There’s no name for what I am,” Goldberg replied, prompting laughter from the audience as she went on to explain her point further. “There’s no name. Because there are some things that fit what I want and some things that don’t. And I am the crazy person who said, ‘Why don’t we have a Democratic president and a Republican vice president?’”
Her cohosts recalled that she had, in fact, suggested that arrangement in the past.

“But people are saying, ‘You can’t elect a black man,’” Goldberg complained, asking, “Why not?”
Her cohosts pointed out that the United States had elected a black man — former President Obama — twice, and while Goldberg conceded the point, she claimed that had done nothing to deter the people who continued to tell her that such a thing could not be done.

Longtime Democratic strategist James Carville claimed during a recent podcast episode that he knew of &#8220;wealthy Jewish donors&#8221; who were willing to sell out to literal &#8220;national socialists&#8221; as log as it preserved &#8220;their f***ing tax cuts.&#8221;
Carville made the claim during a recent episode of his &#8220;Politics War Room&#8221; podcast, while complaining about the number of wealthy Jewish Americans who refused to back the Democratic Party in the wake of antisemitic protests in places such as Columbia University.

And I just find these kind of people — literally, my instinct is, they tell me that, look me right in the eye, and I — &#8216;No, you just want your f***ing tax cut.&#8221;

President Donald Trump&#8217;s tariffs have driven a massive drop in the trade deficit — going from nearly $140 billion in March to $61.6 billion in April.
According to the latest numbers, which were detailed during a Thursday morning broadcast on CNBC, the sharp drop in the trade deficit also fueled a significant bump in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) — the Atlanta Fed GDP now was at 4.64%.

A New York Times report digging into some of the latest numbers indicated that the March trade deficit may have been slightly artificially inflated as imports surged to get ahead of the tariffs that everyone knew were coming. In addition, the NYT also noted the fact that the drop in the trade deficit almost exclusively reflected a decrease in imports — meaning that as production picked up domestically, that could also drive the deficit even lower.
President Trump celebrated the drop in the trade deficit one week earlier, playing video from another CNBC broadcast in the Oval Office.
&#8220;Personal income is up 0.8%. That is almost triple the expectation. The income numbers, really for the first four months of the year, they’re stellar. They’re really stellar. I mean, I could go back and look at the first four months of many different years, really very strong numbers,&#8221; anchor Rick Santelli said at the time.
&#8220;How the hell did they already fix the trade deficit? Or not fix it, but to cut it in half? That&#8217;s crazy,&#8221; Joe Kernen added.
&#8220;Yeah, I’ll tell you what, it really does call into question some of the conventional wisdoms. And you know it’s going to be interesting to see what happens next month, when we get this number, or we see some of the other numbers—like current accounts—see how they fared. Because I don’t know, I’ve been watching these numbers a long time. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the trade deficit cut in half for one month,&#8221; Santelli concluded.
