The decade's most triggering comedy
“The Five” host Jessica Tarlov reacted to news of Roe V. Wade being overturned and suggested that if one of Sen. Ted Cruz’s (R-TX) daughters were raped, she finds it “hard to believe” he “wouldn’t do everything in his power” to get the baby aborted.
The co-host of the Fox News show didn’t hold back her attacks on the Right during the segment Friday after the 1973 landmark decision was overturned as a result of the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization.
In the 6-3 decision, the United States Supreme Court upheld a Mississippi 15-week abortion ban while five of the justices recognized that there’s no constitutional right to an abortion, returning the decisions to the states to pass abortion legislation, as The Daily Wire previously reported.
Tarlov said that if “men were carrying the children,” this ruling wouldn’t have been overturned. She also slammed the idea that it will be easy for women to “just cross state lines” to get an abortion, as many in the media had been talking about during the day following the ruling.
Tarlov then took aim at “some of these states” that she said are not going to allow any exceptions for “rape or incest” — without providing an example of states where that was happening.
The host called out conservatives like Sen. Cruz who earlier in the day she said had touted the ruling.
Fox News' Jessica Tarlov: "I find it hard to believe that if one of Ted Cruz's daughters got pregnant because she was raped or God forbid if an Uncle got her pregnant, that he wouldn't do everything in his power to make sure that she didn't have to carry that baby to term." pic.twitter.com/x9hQaAm232

“And I find it hard to believe for the conservatives on TV, I saw Ted Cruz on earlier touting the ruling,” the host of “The Five” shared. “That if one of Ted Cruz’s daughters got pregnant because she was raped or God forbid an uncle or someone got her pregnant, that he wouldn’t do everything in his power to make sure that his daughter didn’t have to carry that baby to term.”
“The hypocrisy is beyond comprehension here,” she added. “Republican women get pregnant, too.”
No one on the panel directly reacted to her comment about Cruz’s daughters, as the conservative leaning hosts like Dana Perino noted that there were a lot of women who “actually support” SCOTUS decision Friday.
