<p>The Daily Wire Backstage panel addressed the recent Supreme Court decision overturning landmark abortion rulings in <em>Roe v. Wade</em> and <em>Planned Parenthood v. Casey</em>, making it clear that even though it was one of the biggest political wins in our lifetime, the real battle was only beginning.</p>
<p>&#8220;<em>Roe</em> is gone. Ben, tell us what we’re supposed to think,&#8221; co-CEO Jeremy Boreing kicked off the segment.</p>
<p>Shapiro called the overturning of <em>Roe</em> the biggest political win of our lifetime, adding that some of the credit for the momentous ruling belonged to former President Donald Trump.</p>
<p>&#8220;Thank President Donald J. Trump,&#8221; Shapiro said, noting that he had initially had very real doubts about Trump. &#8220;But the minute he selected Justice Neil Gorsuch, on air I put a MAGA hat on.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The battle is taken up right now,&#8221; Shapiro continued, arguing that getting the decision-making process sent back to the states was not the end of the fight, but the beginning — and that fight was going to be in the hearts and minds of the people.</p>
<p>He went on to say that the dissent in <em>Dobbs v. Jackson Women&#8217;s Health Organization</em> made the battle lines abundantly clear. &#8220;For them, abortion is a sacrament,&#8221; he said. &#8220;A woman cannot be a woman unless she retains the right to kill her preborn child.&#8221;</p>
<p>But those on the Left could still get out over their skis if they push too hard on the issue, Shapiro added, noting that Democrats had adopted a position that did not align with the majority of Americans. &#8220;They’re sowing the seed of their own destruction.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;Now is the moment to push full speed ahead,&#8221; Michael Knowles agreed.</p>
<p>Matt Walsh pointed out the fact that the post-<em>Roe</em> landscape was revealing the dishonesty of some of the pro-abortion arguments. &#8220;I thought they said that abortion was only 3% of what Planned Parenthood does,&#8221; he said, asking, &#8220;Why are they closing clinics?&#8221;</p>
<p>Candace Owens, who joined the panel despite being nine months pregnant  — and joked that delivering her baby during the live event would make for good TV — added, &#8220;It&#8217;s so surreal to hear the argument that they’re making when you’re about to bring a baby to term.&#8221;</p>
