The man who shot up a mall in Allen, Texas, over the weekend previously served in the U.S. Army but “was removed due to mental health concerns” in 2008, according to the FBI.

Rolling Stone obtained an FBI bulletin on the 33-year-old killer, who officials say killed at least eight people and shot seven others at the Allen Premium Outlets, which claimed that the Bureau’s “review and triage of the subject’s social media accounts revealed hundreds of postings and images to include writings with racially or ethnically motivated violent extremist rhetoric, including neo-Nazi materials and material espousing the supremacy of the white race.”

The Daily Wire is not naming the suspect due to company policy about not giving notoriety to mass killers.

The report claimed that law enforcement believes “the shooter was a neo-Nazi and incel.”

However, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott cautioned against believing some of the initial reports about the shooter, who is a Latino male that has a dark complexion and black hair.

Abbott told Fox News on Monday morning: “Well, so listen, I know that there are a lot of, let’s say early stories about the shooter out there, what I can tell from talking to the investigators yesterday, is that people should not jump to conclusions because there’s a lot of conflicting information about him.”

“Let the investigators work through the guy’s background,” he said. “And I think that once you see more information about the guy’s background, it will reveal a little bit more about why this happened.”

The FBI raided a home in the northeast patrol division of Dallas on Saturday night where the suspect reportedly lived with his parents for years. They reportedly needed a translator to speak with the family.

The suspect drove a gray Dodge Charger, which he drove to the mall to commit the atrocity, and had reportedly been staying at a motel in recent days.

CBS News reporter J.D. Miles reported that he “had no serious criminal record and was working as a security guard.”

At 3:36 p.m. local time, a police officer was responding to a separate call at the outlet mall and heard gunfire. The officer then engaged the shooter and “neutralized” the suspect before calling for emergency personnel.
