<p>She wanted to turn Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention centers into concentration camps to hold &#8220;American Zionists.&#8221;</p>
<p>Now, Democrat congressional candidate Maureen Galindo, who is also a sex therapist, lost a primary runoff for a key House seat in Texas.</p>
<p>Her opponent, Bexar County sheriff&#8217;s deputy Johnny Garcia, won the Democratic nomination for Texas’ 35th Congressional District with 64% of the vote on Tuesday, <a href="https://www.ksat.com/vote-2026/2026/05/26/texas-congressional-district-35-runoff-election-results-republicans-democrats-compete-for-redrawn-seat/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to KSAT.</p>
<p>Galindo&#8217;s campaign previously posted on Instagram that &#8220;when Maureen gets into Congress, she&#8217;ll write legislation so that all Zionism and support of Zionism is undoubtedly Anti-semitic, since it&#8217;s Zionists harming the Semites.&#8221;</p>
<p>The post added that she would &#8220;turn Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking,&#8221; adding that it would serve as &#8220;a castration processing center for pedophiles which will probably be most of the Zionists.&#8221;</p>
<p>She later clarified on her Instagram that the comments did &#8220;NOT mean putting all Jews in internment camps.&#8221;</p>
<p>Conceding the race Tuesday night, Galindo declared that “Israel won tonight but this is only the beginning for US,&#8221; <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2026/05/27/texas-democrats-reject-house-candidate-who-called-imprisoning-zionists/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">according</a> to The Washington Post.</p>

<p>Garcia wrote on X that while &#8220;Republicans tried to meddle in our election &#8230; TX Democrats showed that we won’t stand for hate.&#8221;</p>
<p>Galindo&#8217;s earlier antisemitic post about repurposing ICE detention centers drew criticism from her fellow Democrats.</p>
<p>The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) labeled Galindo as &#8220;MAGA Maureen&#8221; in a recent ad.</p>
<p>Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called Galindo&#8217;s remarks &#8220;absolutely disgusting,&#8221; adding that &#8220;the donors behind the Republican super PAC funding her should be exposed.&#8221;</p>
