Anti-Semites gathered near the Sydney Opera House in Australia on Monday and shouted vile chants against Jews. Those in the Jewish community were warned to stay away from the demonstration, while some supporters of Israel were arrested.
Video footage showed nearly 2,000 people in Sydney holding Palestinian flags and chanting, “Gas the Jews,” “F*** the Jews,” and “Allahu Akbar.” Radical Muslims who joined the demonstration threw flares and projectiles at police who had set up a barricade at the steps of the Opera House near the crowd, The Daily Mail reported.

More than 100 police officers watched from behind the barricade as the terrorist sympathizers spewed hatred and fired flares.
“I’m very disappointed in the strongest possible terms that people saw fit to utilize flares and what not,” Assistant Commissioner Tony Cooke said, adding that police were examining footage of the demonstration to identify who had thrown the flares.
Meanwhile, The Daily Mail reported that three people attempting to display Israeli flags were either chased by the anti-Semitic mob or arrested by police “for their own safety.”
“A person was removed from the Town Hall rally who was carrying a flag for his safety,’ Cooke said. “He was arrested to prevent a breach of the peace for his safety. He was removed and released.”
Robert Gregory, CEO of the Australian Jewish Association, slammed Australian authorities for allowing the anti-Semitic demonstrators to threaten Jews and fire projectiles at police while telling Jews to stay away from the opera house.
“The police gave a warning for Jews not to come into the area,” Gregory said. “Think about that. Imagine if there were mobs hunting blacks or gays in Sydney’s CBD. “Imagine if the police warned blacks or gays not to come into Sydney’s CBD.”

Anti-Israel activists also gathered in cities in the U.S., with some demonstrators at a rally in Philadelphia saying they were “proud” to see Hamas slaughter Israeli civilians. Around 220 people participated in an “emergency solidarity rally” in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, where speakers proclaimed, “All of us here, standing today, are proud of what has occurred yesterday.”

Hamas has so far killed around 1,000 Israelis and wounded thousands more in the surprise terror attack that began on Saturday morning. The terrorists also kidnapped an unknown number of Israelis, many of them women and children, and are currently holding them hostage in the Gaza Strip. Videos posted by the terrorists showed them celebrating as they desecrated the bodies of Israeli soldiers and civilians during their attack.
Israel has responded by bombing Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip and sending Israel Defense Forces (IDF) to rescue the hostages, whom Hamas is threatening to execute.
“Hamas will understand that by attacking us, they have made a mistake of historic proportions,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Monday. “We will exact a price that will be remembered by them and Israel’s other enemies for decades to come.”
“Hamas terrorists bound, burned, and executed children,” he added. “They are savages. Hamas is ISIS. And just as the forces of civilization united to defeat ISIS, the forces of civilization must support Israel in defeating Hamas.”
