TERROR AT THE LOUVRE: Machete-Wielding Man Shouts ‘Allahu Akbar,’ Attacks Security Guards

In what appears to be yet another radical Islamic terror attack in France, a machete-wielding man yelling “Allahu Akbar” went on a rampage on Friday in the Louvre’s underground shopping center, eventually attacking security forces, who shot him as terrified tourists looked on.

The incident began when the man was asked to open his bag by security personnel. According to the Sun, he then “rampaged through the museum’s underground shopping centre” before four soldiers converged on him. He lashed at the soldiers before they shot him multiple times.

The attacker was heard yelling “Allahu Akbar,” Arabic for “God is Greater,” during his rampage.

He was brandishing a machete and, according to some reports, armed with additional knives. According to the Paris police chief, one of the soldiers he attacked was “lightly injured.”

The attacker was reportedly shot five times, including in the legs and stomach.

Below are images of him lying on the ground after being critically injured:
