<p>Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called for federal law enforcement officials to investigate foreign adversaries who are funding social unrest in the United States.</p>
<p>Cruz made the remarks during the most recent episode of his &#8220;Verdict&#8221; podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson while discussing a new <a href="https://networkcontagion.us/reports/ccp-influence-and-radical-ideologies/">report</a> from the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) titled: &#8220;Contagious Disruption: How CCP Influence and Radical Ideologies Threaten Critical Infrastructure and Campuses Across the United States.&#8221;</p>
<p>Cruz said that the report made clear that America&#8217;s adversaries were &#8220;funding the mayhem we are seeing on our college campuses&#8221; and that it was an attempt by them to &#8220;destroy this country.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;The Department of Justice should be investigating this, the FBI should be investigating this,&#8221; he said. &#8220;We&#8217;ve got money coming from communist China, behind these protests behind these anti-American anti-Israel protests. We&#8217;ve got money coming from organizations that have close ties to designated terrorist organizations. And so, whether it is Hamas and Hezbollah pushing this, whether it is affiliated allies of theirs pushing this, whether it is Iran pushing this, or whether it&#8217;s Communist China pushing this, the FBI ought to be all over it.&#8221;</p>
<p>Cruz said that foreign students who are here on visas should be deported if they are displaying anti-American behavior like burning the American flag or chanting &#8220;Death to America.&#8221;</p>
