<p>A man stabbed to death in San Francisco on Tuesday has been identified as tech mogul Bob Lee. He was 43 years old.</p>
<p>The San Francisco Police Department responded to the 300 block of Main Street at approximately 2:35 a.m. after getting a call that someone had been stabbed.</p>
<p>Officers found Lee &#8220;suffering from apparent stab wounds,&#8221; the department said in a release. &#8220;Officers rendered aid and summoned medics to the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts by first responders and medical personnel, the victim succumbed to his injuries.&#8221;</p>
<p>Lee was the founder of Cash App and the former chief technology officer of Square.</p>
<p>Police said an investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.</p>
<p>&#8220;Our dear friend and colleague, Bob Lee passed away yesterday at the age of 43, survived by a loving family and collection of close friends and collaborators,&#8221; said Joshua Goldbard, CEO of MobileCoin.</p>
<p>&#8220;Bob was a dynamo, a force of nature. Bob was the genuine article,&#8221; Goldbard added. &#8220;He was made for the world that is being born right now, he was a child of dreams, and whatever he imagined, no matter how crazy, he made real.&#8221;</p>
<p>Former UFC fighter Jake Shields tweeted: &#8220;I just found out my good friend was killed last night while walking him (sic) in San Francisco.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;He was in the &#8216;good&#8217; part of the city and appeared to have been targeted in a random mugging/attack,&#8221; he added. &#8220;F*** San Francisco.&#8221;</p>
