<a href="https://www.dailywire.com/topic/taylor-swift">Taylor Swift</a> and Travis Kelce were spotted at the US Open and later on a double date with Patrick and <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/taylor-swift-friend-brittany-mahomes-likes-trump-post-goes-on-defense-against-haters">Brittany Mahomes</a> — after the QB’s wife’s liked a post by former President Donald Trump, then went on defense against the “haters.”
On Sunday, the 34-year-old singer and her beau Kansas City Chiefs star Kelce had some fun in the sun at the tennis tournament, where the two shared a VIP box with the Mahomes, the <a href="https://nypost.com/2024/09/09/sports/taylor-swift-and-travis-kelce-enjoy-double-date-with-patrick-and-brittany-mahomes-after-us-open-outing/">New York Post</a> reported.
The “Shake It Off” hitmaker and Kelce were then photographed looking stylish on their way to dinner in New York City at Meduza Mediterrania restaurant. Arriving separately — but to the same location — were the Kansas City Chiefs QB and his wife, the Post noted.
The group hanging out together comes amid speculation from some that there had been some rift between the ladies after Swift wasn’t seen hanging out with Brittany at the opening night of the Chiefs game in Arrowhead on Thursday.

Suggestions online came from the fact that it could be because Mahomes made headlines after she hit back at those who didn’t like that she had liked a post by <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/trump-thanks-brittany-mahomes-for-defending-presidents-2024-maga-platform">Trump</a> in which he outlined his 2024 Make America Great Again platform.
In the original post shared by Trump on <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C-m53xGu3MY/">Instagram</a>, the former president listed “The 2024 GOP Platform” to “Make America Great Again,” noting things like tax cuts, no tax on tips, securing the border, and stopping illegal immigration. He also posted about a promise to “end inflation,” “Make America Affordable Again,” and “Keep men out of women’s sports.”
Brittany liked the post, without explaining which of the ideas she agreed with, hit back at those who tried to cancel her and delivered a clear message to leftist adults who were upset, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C_B3CgGSRxC/?img_index=1">OutKick</a> reported.
“I mean honestly,” Brittany’s <a href="https://www.instagram.com/brittanylynne/">Instagram Story</a> read. “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood.”
“There’s no reason your brain is fully developed and you hate to see others doing well,” she added.
Not a week later, Mahomes’ wife appeared on the Whoop podcast and made it clear she doesn’t “give a f*** what people have to say about” her anymore, crediting her husband with teaching her not to worry about what others think, as previously <a href="https://www.dailywire.com/news/i-dont-give-a-f-about-critics-brittany-mahomes-after-getting-ripped-for-liking-trump-post">reported</a>.
“Yeah, I think we got kind of thrown into the fire together, and I think that’s what helped us, you know, do so well in the life that we are, is that we did it all together. And he is a lot better at it than I am, maybe because his dad played professional sports,” Brittany said. “So I think he was around it and he understood it a lot more than I did. So having him to help me get through it has helped a lot because he’s very good at, you know, managing those things and blocking people out.”
