Superstar Sylvester Stallone’s wife, Jennifer Flavin, reportedly filed court documents for “dissolution of marriage and other relief” from the “Rocky” star after 25 years of marriage.
The 76-year-old actor released a statement in response to reports that Flavin had filed for divorce in a Palm Beach County, Florida, courthouse, People magazine reported in a piece published Wednesday.
“I love my family,” Stallone’s statement read. “We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues.”
Flavin reportedly claimed Stallone “has engaged in the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate,” according to documents obtained by the Daily Mail.
“Moreover, the Husband should be enjoined from, selling, transferring, assigning, encumbering, or dissipating any assets during the pendency of proceedings,” it added, reportedly citing that Flavin said their marriage had been “irretrievably broken.”
Flavin, 22 years younger than Stallone, and the “First Blood” star tied the knot in 1997 after they first started dating in 1988, following his second marriage to Brigitte Nielsen, the Daily Mail noted.
The couple went on to have three daughters together, Scarlet, 20, Sistine, 24, and Sophia, 25.
Stallone is also a father to son Seargeoh from his marriage to his first wife Sasha Czack and the former couple’s late-son Sage, who died in 2012.
News of the star’s divorce followed several recent telling Instagram posts, one from Flavin dated on August 10 and the other from Stallone.
Sylvester’s wife’s post on social media included a photo of her and their three daughters standing close together in a group embrace. The caption with the photo read, “These girls are my priority nothing else matters. The 4 of us forever #truth #family #forever.”

The “Creed” star reportedly also shared an eye-raising post on his social media that didn’t escape some eagle-eyed followers. In the since-deleted post Stallone shared a snap showing off his upper arm tattoo now — which featured the face of his onscreen dog from “Rocky,” Butkus. What got fans talking, however, was the fact that it covered space that had previously been occupied by Flavin’s face, the Daily Mail reported.
