A small business owner in western Pennsylvania told former President Donald Trump on Monday that his store had always turned a profit — until President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were elected.
Trump spoke about the Biden-Harris economy with the owner of Sprankle&#8217;s Market in Kittanning, just ahead of his Monday evening rally in Indiana, PA — and his campaign shared a video of their conversation.

Shop owner Ryan Sprankle told Trump that he had the &#8220;best crew in the world,&#8221; and the former president — who made his bones as a businessman — asked how their little store stacked up against the larger grocery chains when it came to turning a profit.

&#8220;How long has this been open?&#8221; Trump asked, and then added, &#8220;Wow,&#8221; when the Sprankle told him they&#8217;d been in business for 25 years.
&#8220;We bought it — and this store, where you&#8217;re standing, has been a grocery store since 1929.&#8221;
&#8220;Wow,&#8221; Trump repeated. &#8220;That&#8217;s great, that&#8217;s beautiful.&#8221;

CNN anchor Dana Bash selectively edited a Truth Social post from President Donald Trump during a Tuesday broadcast, leaving out the part that included a direct swipe at both her network and MSNBC.
In the post in question, Trump threatened to not endorse any Republicans who did not support the rescissions bill that would pull funding from public broadcasting giants PBS and NPR — but also jabbed at CNN and MSNBC — and Bash read the entire thing aloud, save the insult that apparently hit a little too close to home.

On &#8220;Inside Politics,&#8221; Bash read Trump&#8217;s post from start to finish, omitting only the part that targeted CNN and MSNBC.
The full post read, &#8220;It is very important that all Republicans adhere to my Recissions [sic] Bill and, in particular, DEFUND THE CORPORATION FOR PUBLIC BROADCASTING (PBS and NPR), which is worse than CNN &amp; MSDNC put together. Any Republican that votes to allow this monstrosity to continue broadcasting will not have my support or Endorsement.&#8221;
Instead, Bash pushed ahead with the narrative claiming that &#8220;rural communities rely on public broadcasting still&#8221; in addition to public education.
Trump has often taken potshots at any media outlet with which he is displeased, but CNN has been a regular target of his for a number of years.
The president sparred with Bash — indirectly — in April when he lashed out at CNN for failing to give enough coverage to his efforts to stop the flow of illegal immigration across the southern border.
&#8220;Well, they get out, but the fake news, like CNN over here, doesn’t want to put them out because they don’t like putting out good numbers … because I think they hate our country, actually,&#8221; he said at the time.
Bash, in response, said during a subsequent broadcast, &#8220;I just want to say for the record, since we heard President Trump say in the Oval Office that CNN &#8216;hates our country.&#8217; CNN does not hate our country. That should go without saying.&#8221;

The one out this week, 88% with Republicans. How about Quinnipiac? The prior poll, 87% approval for Republicans. This week out, 90% with Republicans. He is at the apex, or close there to, in terms of his popularity with Republican voters, Epstein files complaints or not.&#8221;
&#8220;Is there any reason that you can find that this hasn’t taken hold and hurt him?&#8221; Sidner asked.
&#8220;Yeah, I mean, on X, all you hear about is the Epstein files. But how about out in the real public? Republicans who said the top issue was Epstein case, the answer is one, one, and not 1%. One respondent. This is a great little finding that Ariel Edwards-Levy, who of course is part of our polling unit, found,&#8221; Enten continued. &#8220;Just one single Republican said that the nation’s top problem is, in fact, the Epstein case. Not much of a surprise that therefore Donald Trump’s approval rating has not suffered with Republicans because of the Epstein case, because the bottom line is most Americans say it’s not up high on their priority list.&#8221;
&#8220;Still, congressional Democrats have been trying to seize on this,&#8221; Sidner pointed out, noting that Democrats in office were going on and on about the Epstein files even though they couldn&#8217;t be bothered to vote even to subpoena his flight logs when former President Joe Biden was still in office. &#8220;You hear them also parroting what you’re hearing online, saying, &#8216;Release the files, this is terrible, blah, blah, blah.&#8217; I mean, is that working for them?&#8221;
&#8220;No, I mean, look, here’s what’s so important,&#8221; Enten said, turning to the Democratic side of things. &#8220;You know, we talk about the potential of Republicans leaving Donald Trump. They’re not leaving him. But what about congressional Democrats and problems with their own base? Democrats’ net approval of congressional Democrats, according to Quinnipiac University, in June of 2025, it was their second worst ever at -12 points.&#8221;
&#8220;Is that not low enough for you? How about we go even lower? In July of 2025, -13 points, their worst net approval rating for congressional Democrats among Democrats ever,&#8221; Enten continued. &#8220;Donald Trump is not the one who has problems with this political base, it is congressional Democrats that are the ones who have problems with their own political base.&#8221;

‘Reprehensible’: Assaults On ICE Agents Skyrocket, Up 830% Over Last Year

Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) offered up a video that he advertised as &#8220;ear candy&#8221; on Monday — a clip of himself playing guitar and singing in falsetto about the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, demanding that Republicans release the &#8220;files&#8221; in which Democrats previously had no interest whatsoever.
Johnson, perhaps best known for his concern that increasing the American military presence on the Pacific island of Guam would cause it to &#8220;capsize,&#8221; captioned the video simply, &#8220;Release the Epstein files.&#8221;

Goldberg, from her platform on ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View,&#8221; suggested the Cuban was aiming his criticism the wrong people and argued that Democrat voters had been out protesting Trump from the very beginning of his first term. She did not, however, offer any evidence that they had presented a more cohesive message beyond simply complaining that Trump was bad.

Cuban broke down several of the issues he believes are facing the Democratic Party during a recent appearance on the &#8220;Pod Save America&#8221; podcast — where he also suggested that former Vice President Kamala Harris had been kept from doing the &#8220;bro podcasts&#8221; because her campaign leadership &#8220;didn&#8217;t trust her&#8221; — and the topic turned to messaging.
&#8220;Trump says, you know, &#8216;the sky is blue,&#8217; Trump sucks,&#8221; Cuban said, commenting on the Democrats&#8217; almost reflexive habit of contradicting every statement President Donald Trump makes. &#8220;You can&#8217;t — that&#8217;s not the way to win. It&#8217;s just not, because it&#8217;s not about Trump, it&#8217;s about the people of the United States of America and what&#8217;s good for them — and how you get them to a place where they&#8217;re in a better position.&#8221;
Goldberg, responding to Cuban&#8217;s comment, unloaded: &#8220;Okay. Yeah, okay. So, let me remind everybody who was out on the front lines marching when we had the giant marches that went on, it was the people, the people went out! They were not navel gazing.&#8221;
&#8220;It was older people who were saying, &#8216;why are you touching my Social Security?&#8217; It was not people whining,&#8221; she continued, arguing — without explaining which rights she was referring to — that it was about people objecting to Trump &#8220;taking away rights.&#8221;
&#8220;Democrats have been angry at what this man tried to do the last time. They&#8217;ve been angry this time. So, I — with much due respect to you both, I believe you are pointing the finger at the wrong person when you say Democrats! &#8230; Our messaging has not been bad,&#8221; she insisted, saying that a line should be drawn between elected Democrats and voters.
