<p>Sunny Hostin, a far-left co-host of ABC&#8217;s &#8220;The View,&#8221; slammed the co-hosts of MSNBC&#8217;s &#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; for going to Mar-a-Lago to try to curry favor with President-elect Donald Trump.</p>
<p>&#8220;Morning Joe&#8221; co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski said during Monday morning’s show that they met with Trump over the weekend “to restart communications.”</p>
<p>It was the first time that they had spoken to him in seven years after they have repeatedly attacked him, including comparing him to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.</p>
<p>The show has been so rabidly hostile to Trump that MSNBC pulled it off the air the day after Trump was shot because the network was reportedly worried about what might be said on air.</p>
<p>&#8220;The bottom line is that America needs a free press that is willing to speak truth to power right now more than ever,&#8221; Hostin claimed. &#8220;And I think that we have to be very clear eyed when we think about the president-elect and cover the president-elect.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;And I don&#8217;t think you need to sit down for 90 minutes at Mar-a-Lago and kiss his ring to be able to speak truth and to be able to cover a story,&#8221; she continued. &#8220;So maybe they&#8217;re not journalists in the true sense.&#8221;</p>
<p>Hostin claimed Trump was &#8220;the guy who ushered in the era of fake news.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;He is the guy who ushered in alternative facts,&#8221; she claimed. &#8220;He is the guy who attacked three black female journalists. He&#8217;s the guy that revoked Jim Acosta&#8217;s press credentials for asking him a question. And so I think that this president-elect, I hate to say it would like nothing more than to have only Fox News cover him. Would like nothing more than a state-sponsored media.&#8221;</p>
<p>She concluded by claiming that Trump could not &#8220;be trusted in the way that other presidents can be trusted.&#8221;</p>
