Sunny Hostin claimed on “The View” that anyone who voted Republican — despite the GOP’s refusal to support gun bans — was “complicit” in school shootings and had the blood of small children on their hands.
Hostin made the comments during Tuesday’s broadcast of the ABC midday talk show in response to a conversation that comedian Larry David and X-owner Elon Musk reportedly had at a wedding.

The comedian and the entrepreneur had both been in attendance at a wedding in St. Tropez, France, and David had taken the opportunity to confront Musk about supporting Republicans.
“Do you just want to murder kids in schools?” David asked the billionaire, according to a new Musk biography by Walter Isaacson — apparently in reference to the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas.
Musk was reportedly taken aback by the question, responding, “No, no … I’m anti-kid murder.”
“Then how could you vote Republican?” David asked.

Behar cheered David for confronting Musk, noting that he might not have another chance to do so and arguing that the issue was important enough to discuss even if the timing was not ideal.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin pushed back, saying that it was unfair to paint everyone who voted a certain way with the same brush, but Behar argued that despite recent bipartisan gun control efforts, Republicans’ failure to ban AR-15s made them responsible for the continued violence.
But Hostin agreed with Behar, arguing that anyone who saw that Republicans were not banning certain firearms and still voted for them was “complicit” in the shootings that she believed were the natural result.
“AR-15s are weapons of mass destruction that should have no place in anyone’s hands in this country,” Hostin insisted. “And if you vote Republican, I believe that you are complicit in that unless you are actively working day and night to change that within your party.”
