As the left continues to push its transgender agenda on America’s youth while hiding behind faux tolerance, studies and surveys alike seem to confirm the right’s pushback from such glorification, which mainly contends that transgenderism is not a fad, nor is it a mere exercise in virtue signaling for leftists, but a mental disorder that needs to be treated, not mainstreamed.
On Thursday, Time Magazine reported on a National Center for Transgender Equality survey, which looked at the largest sampling of transgender people ever—and the results were devastating, revealing the mental instability of trans folks.
The U.S. Transgender Survey found that a whopping 40 percent of trans people have attempted suicide, compared to just 4.6 percent of the general population. That is, a trans person is more than eight times more likely to try to kill themselves than a non-trans person.
The left likes to credit this enormous discrepancy to the alleged intolerance of the general population, who apparently trigger trans folks into such alarming rates of suicide attempts. But as Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro has highlighted, this is an intellectually dishonest argument, as the only other comparable suicide rate to that of trans folks is to World War II Jews living under Austrian and German rule. So, unless you believe that trans folks face equivalent persecution to Nazi Germany Jews, you’d have to come up with a different rationale for the suicide rate. (Like, for instance, accepting science and understanding transgenderism as a mental disorder.)
The study also found that a stunning 30 percent of all trans respondents have experienced homelessness at some point in their life. This is again unsurprising, if you can allow yourself to see the truth about transgenderism and reject the glorification of the left.
Transgender folks were also found to be “twice as likely to be living in poverty compared to the general population and three times more likely to be unemployed,” notes Time.
As noted by former Chief of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Distinguished Service Professor of Psychiatry at Johns Hopkins University Dr. Paul R. McHugh, the left-wing transgender activists are enabling a mental illness and “collaborating with madness,” not pushing for “equailty.”
