On Wednesday, as captured on video, DePaul University threatened to arrest Daily Wire Editor-in-Chief Ben Shapiro if he were to step foot on campus and engage in free speech. The conservative author was met at the edge of campus with some 30 security guards barring him, specifically, from entry.
Shapiro was invited on campus by conservative college group Young America’s Foundation to appear alongside renowned feminist Christina Hoff Sommers and lecture, ironically, on free speech. And as the conservative speaker pointed out on The Kelly File, DePaul was “tolerant enough to ban it.”
The unapologetic conservative was targeted and banned from DePaul by administration back in July, essentially because Shapiro’s truth-telling is too much for fragile snowflakes to take, becoming violent at the sound of his name. Those opposing him include white nationalist groups and Black Lives Matter members who refer to the Orthodox Jew as a “Nazi.”
Figure that one out.
Although the attack on free speech by campus snowflakes and their weak-willed administrators is a complete travesty, political comedian Steven Crowder found a way for us to laugh at the sheer absurdity of the situation.
In a series of “Ben Shapiro Gets Arrested” skits, Crowder mocks the inanity of the conservative being targeted and banned from participating in free speech on campus, while highlighting what the left hates about Shapiro and what the right can’t get enough of: his ability to intellectually run circles around his opponents all while keeping a cool, composed, no-bull, snarky tone.
Watch the three skits, below.
One: Ben Shapiro gets arrested for “armed masked robbery.”
Two: Ben Shapiro gets arrested for “returning tapes to Family Video without rewinding.”
Three: Ben Shapiro gets arrested for having an “arson device” and a “bomb.”
